1,200 HP Bugatti Veyron Supersport set to arrive in Paris

After a few brief rumors some months ago, the idea of an ultimate version of the Bugatti Veyron is once again in the air.

This time, more details have been speculated about the model that will end the production of the memorable hypercar.

The Bugatti Veyron Supersport (as it will revive an older name) will see its W16 engine upgraded to develop a whopping 1,200 HP. That’s not all, as engineers are rumored to be shaving around 660 lbs (300 kg) of extra weight, in order to improve performance specs.

An improved they will, as the Supersport is rumored to hit the 62 mph mark in just 2.2 seconds and to reach a top speed of 264 mph (425 km/h).

Only 30 such models are expect to arrive, according to those rumors, with the first one set to debut at the Paris Motor Show this fall.

Real or not, the idea of such a powerful Veyron still boggles the mind.
