1919 Rauch & Lang up on eBay
Even though this is not the first EV ever built, the 1919 Rauch & Lang is certainly one of the most beautiful electric cars ever made and it’s now available for sale on eBay. The car has a very elegant blue & black coachwork, along with brass detailing and whitewall tires, plus a very elegant clock located inside the cabin.
The interior of this electric car is trimmed in gray broadcloth and just like many of the cars from that era; the driver controls it with the tiller mechanism, not a steering wheel. The car went through a thorough restoration process and it has been driven for only 276 miles. Its batteries have been recently replaced so it’s a fully functional car.
The listing says that Rauch & Lang began as a coachwork back in 1853 in Cleveland and later on in 1884, Charles Lang joined the company. The production of EVs started in 1905 and pretty soon they became a rival to the Baker Electric and the Detroit Electric.
The car is for sale via specialist dealer Hyman Ltd. Classic Cars and it can be yours if you are willing to spend $57,500.
