Last weekend at the Barrett-Jackson auction that was held in Las Vegas, a gorgeous custom Ford Fairlane 500 from 1964 managed to fetch $700,000, which is almost three times more than the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 that grabbed $250,000.

This Fairlane was the most popular car at the event and managed to be the top grossing vehicle. The proceeds will benefit wounded veterans via the Armed Forces Federation. The vehicle is motivated by a Roush 427 IR V8 engine that produces 522 hp and is mated to a Tremec TKO 600 McCloud dual-disc transmission.
