2006 Lamborghini Gallardo

The Lamborghini Gallardo can be considered the most “affordable” sports car manufactured by the Italian automaker. This car is the first Lamborghini product that benefits from the takeover of the Lamborghini Company by Audi/Volkswagen.

This exotic supercar is available as a coupe. For the 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo are available two levels of trim: the base and the SE that can be bought for a base price of $279,900. The base car is equipped with 19 inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, HID headlights and an Audi-manufactured CD audio system. It’s available even a winter package as an option which features heated exterior mirrors, winter tires equipped with “Cassiopeia” style titanium rims, windshield washer jets and a power outlet placed in the trunk. The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo is also equipped with a navigation system, a rear backup camera and a sport suspension. All these are available only as part of the optional package. You can also choose the color you want for your car from a variety of colors.

The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo is also available in a limited-production called SE. This limited edition is similar to the base model of the 2006 Gallardo, but has some extra features that characterize it. These unique features include the interior and the exterior colors and some electronic components.

This amazing sports car, in the base model, is equipped with a 5.0 liters V10 engine placed in the middle which produces 520 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. The engine uses a six speeds manual transmission and a four wheel drive system. As an optional feature, it is also available an automated, sequential-shifting manual transmission. The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo goes from zero to 62 mph in four seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 196 mph.

The Gallardo SE is equipped with the same V10 engine, the same transmission and the same drive system as the base model of the 2006 Gallardo. But this edition has some technical changes including shorter gear ratios and achieves a top speed of 315 km/h. The e-gear features a so called “thrust mode” which optimizes the acceleration and the gear shifting. Moreover, the SE edition has a more precise and direct steering that improves even more the handling of the car.

The interior of the 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo benefits from the touch of the Audi Company. You can admire the properly fitting leather and the soft-touch materials that cover the interior of the car. The seats are comfortable and the driver can rapidly accommodate for an occasional trip. A disadvantage of this car is the minimal storage space, because behind the seats there is only a little space left. The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo SE’s interior has the same features as the standard model, but some improvements were made in order to provide it with a more aggressive personality suitable for this Special Edition.

As a result, the Special Edition is equipped with a rear view camera, a multimedia screen which helps the driver to park the car, sports suspensions and Pirelli Zero Corsa tires. In addition to this, the customer has the opportunity to choose a robotized gearbox, a navigation system (fully electrical), heated seats and heated side mirrors. When it comes to safety, the 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo is equipped with antilock brakes, stability control and traction control and of course front and head-protecting side airbags.
