2008 BMW 6 Series facelift
BMW is preparing a facelift for 6 series models, both the Coupe and the Cabrio, and they’ve presented the first official information. The luxury coupe got some minor exterior changes, a wider air intake, new LED indicators, and the positioning of the third brake light onto the rear spoiler. Interior changes include a more ergonomic rubber mount for the iDrive and Sun Reflective Technology for the leather seats in the Cabrio.
BMW will introduce two new engines for the 6 series, the 635d twin-turbo diesel 3.0L six, producing 282hp and taking the car from 0 to 100km/h in 6.3 secondsand to a top speed of 250km/h, consuming only 6.9L per 100km. Another new engine will be an updated version of the 630i 3.0L engine producing 270hp. As for the other models, the 4.8L V8 in the 650i remains unchanged as does the 5.0L V10 in the M6.
