The finalists for the 2011 World Car of the Year have been revealed. The contenders include the Nissan Leaf, Audi A8 and the BMW 5-Series.
The World Performance Car of the Year award will go to one of the following cars: Porsche 911 Turbo, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG or the beautiful Ferrari 458 Italia.
The finalists for the World Green Car of the Year are: Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt and the BMW 320d EfficientDynamics Edition.
Last but not least, the World Car Design of the Year award will be given to one of the following: Ferrari 458 Italia, Aston Martin Rapide or the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
The results will be announced at the New York Auto Show on Thursday, April 21.
I think that the award for the world car of the year will be given to the Nissan Leaf. In addition, I think that the Leaf will also grab the world green car of the year award. The SLS AMG will probably get the world performance car of the year award and the Ferrari 458 Italia will go home with the world car design of the year.
