2012 Audi Q3 Unwrapped
We were all waiting for the new Audi Q3 to make its official debut at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show. The German automaker decided to surprise us and they’ve unveiled their crossover this week. It features a coupe-like design, along with a sloping roofline and a wraparound tailgate that remind us of the bigger Q5 and Q7 models. Size-wise, the car measures 14.4 ft (4.39 meters) long, 6 ft (1.83 meters) wide, and 5.25 ft (1.6 meters) tall.
The A1-inspired cabin looks pretty boring in my opinion; the good thing is that it looks to be made out of high quality materials. It has a generous boot that can hold up to 16.24 to 48.2 cu ft (460 to 1,365 liters) of luggage.
Upon launch, there are going to be three choices of power units. The 2.0-liter TFSI, which will be offered in either a 168 hp (170 PS / 125 kW) or a 208 hp (211 PS / 155 kW) output configuration, along with a 2.0-liter TDI that cranks out 174 hp (177 PS / 130 kW).
Eventually, Audi will launch an entry-level model that will have a 2.0-liter TDI engine that produces 138 hp (140 PS / 103 kW), along with a front-wheel drive. The German car manufacturer said that the new Q3 can do 45.2 mpg (5.2 liters / 100 km) in the combined cycle.
As far as the optional features available, customers will be able to choose from leather upholstery, ambient lighting, aluminum trim, heated seats, MMI navigation with a 7-inch display, panoramic glass roof and a 14-speaker Bose audio system. Unwrapped
