2012 Chevrolet Centennial Edition Corvette Revealed
For celebrating its 100th anniversary, Chevrolet will launch a special edition Corvette, dedicated to racing driver and entrepreneur, Louis Chevrolet, the company’s founder. This special edition comes with a special coat of “Carbon Flash” black paint and a couple of logos on the B-pillars.
Inside the cabin, there is plenty of Alcantara and contrasting red stitching, while the headrests are embossed with an identical 100th anniversary logo as the ones on the B-pillars. The car sits on special 18- or 19-inch rims for the standard Corvette and the Grand Sport, while the ZR-1 and Z06 can be fitted with 19- or 20-inch wheels.
All of these anniversary models come with red-painted brake calipers and the company’s magnetically adjustable suspension. The cars will go on sale this summer, and the first one will be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson and all the money will go to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.
