2012 Nissan Leaf Will Get Several Updates In North America

The 2012 Nissan Leaf is going to be offered with several upgrades when it will hit the market on August 4th this year. The most important one is in the SL variant which will get as standard the DC fast charge port, allowing the EV to be charged at 480V. This means that the owner of the Leaf can charge the batteries of the car to 80% of their capacity in less than half an hour. Aside from this upgrade, all of the variants of the Leaf are going to be offered with a heated steering wheel, heated seats and a battery warmer.

The base price for the 2012 Nissan Leaf is $35,200 and it will be available for order in new territories, like Pennsylvania, Indiana and Nevada.
