2012 Nissan Maxima Gets Mild Updates

Time has come for the Japanese automaker Nissan to launch its refreshed 2012MY Maxima, which receives only a few modest updates in comparison to the outgoing model. Design-wise, it has a slightly bit different front grille and rear lights while the 18- and 19-inch alloys get new designs. In addition, customers will be able to order it in one of the two new colors: Dark Slate and Java Metallic.

Inside the cabin, things have remained pretty much the same, except for the meter cluster illumination which is now white, along with the updated audio/HVAC knob design, a new audio segment display, as well as the introduction of an Atlantic Cherry wood tone trim, Dark Piano-hairline trim, Café Latter interior color and a metallic-finish trim.

The car will be offered with the same S and SV trim levels for the same price tags: S – $31,750 and SV – $34,450; both prices do not include the destination charges. Nissan offers for the S trim a Limited Edition Package which costs $750. It comes with a compass in the rear view mirror, HID Xenon headlights, 18-inch alloys that have a Dark Hyper Silver finish; dark satin chrome front grille, rear spoiler, fog lights, as well as outside mirrors with built-in turn signals and metallic trim.
