2012 Nissan NV3500 HD arrives in North America
The Japanese carmaker Nissan unveiled earlier this week the all-new NV3500 HD passenger van which will be sold in North America. This model is actually based on the NV3500 HD commercial vehicle that came out in 2010.
Nissan is trying to steal away some of the clients that up until now have bought the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, another car that has both commercial and passenger variants. If we were to judge both cars solely on how they look, the Sprinter is definitely a clear winner.
Anyway, the 2012 Nissan NV3500 HD offers 12 seats on four rows in a very flexible configuration. Upon launch, the van will be available with a choice of two engines: a V6 4.0-liter unit that develops 261 hp (265 PS / 195 kW) and 281 lb.-ft (380 Nm) of torque; a V8 that churns 317 hp (321 PS / 239 kW) and a maximum torque of 385 lb.-ft (521 Nm).
