2012 Renault Koleos Revealed
The first generation of the Renault Koleos wasn’t that good as far as the design is concerned, but this facelift makes it a little bit more attractive, although if I were in the market for a car in this segment I’d get the Nissan Qashqai.

Anyway, the FL version brings significant updates inside and out, along with new engines and technologies. The new design has been developed by the French automaker while some of the technology has been implemented by Nissan, including the 4×4 transmission. The car is going to be built at Renault’s plant in Busan, South Korea.
As you can see from these pictures, the crossover benefits from a redesigned front fascia, featuring generous air intakes, an elegant chrome grille, slimmer headlights, along with a new design for the side mirrors which incorporate the LED indicators. Unfortunately, the back looks pretty much the same as the ongoing version and I can’t say that I like it very much.
Inside the cabin, the 2012 Renault Koleos comes with an entirely new dashboard and clients will be able to choose from a wide variety of trims and upholsteries. One of the gasoline engines available for the crossover is a TR25 unit that generates 170 hp while the diesel M9R power unit will be offered in two output configurations: 150 hp or 175 hp. Clients can opt for both 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrains.
The French engineers focused their attention on increasing the storage space and they managed to do it as you’ll have an additional 70 liters to store your stuff. The 450-liter boot can be expanded to a whopping 1,380 liters if you fold the rear seats. Looking at the equipment list available for the Koleos, we find the Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist, dual-zone climate control, navigation and Bose audio system, just to name a few.
No word about the price list but we’ll keep you posted once Renault reveals it. Stay tuned.
