The French automaker Renault has announced that the 2012 versions of the Twingo RS and Gordini RS will be hitting the dealerships in United Kingdom this April. Both models have been developed by RenaultSport and come with a deeper front bumper in comparison to the regular version of the Twingo and they also incorporate an “F1-style blade”. At the back the cars have a tailgate-mounted spoiler, a diffuser installed in the rear bumper, along with rear wheel arch extensions.

The cars are motivated by a 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated engine that produces 133 hp and a peak torque of 118 lb.-ft. As standard, the cars feature a sport chassis, while the optional Cup chassis brings the cars closer to the ground by 4mm. The braking power is provided by the 280 mm discs in the front and 240 mm discs at the back.
