2012 U.S.-spec BMW 3-Series pricing revealed

The German automaker BMW has announced this week the pricing information for the 2012 U.S.-spec 3-Series which will be launched in February and it will cost from $35,795. The 328i model will be offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, a 6.5-inch iDrive display and iPod/USB/Bluetooth connectivity. Under the hood there’s a turbocharged, 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that churns 240 hp (245 PS / 180 kW) and a peak torque of 260 lb.-ft (352 Nm). With this engine the car can do the 0-62 mph sprint in 5.7 seconds, on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph or 155 mph for the model fitted with the Sport Line package.

As for the 335i, this one will be available starting with $43,295 and it has a more powerful turbocharged, 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter engine that fires 300 hp (306 PS / 225 kW) and a peak torque of 300 lb.-ft (406 Nm). The car needs 5.4 seconds to reach 62 mph from start and has the same top speed as the 328i.
