We have another story today from Ford and it’s about the 2013 Shelby GT500 which will be on display at the Los Angeles auto show that starts today. At the heart of this model is an aluminum-block V8 5.8-liter engine that develops 650 hp (659 PS / 485 kW) and a maximum torque of 600 lb.-ft (813 Nm). It is going to be linked to a revised 6-speed manual transmission.

The car is able to reach a maximum speed of 200 mph (322 km/h) and in order to handle the loads required by this top speed, Ford’s engineers have modified the aerodynamics of the GT500, especially the front fascia and the splitters. The car rides on 19-inch alloys in the front and 20-inch rims at the back which are covered by the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar G:2 tires.
