2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek heading to NY Auto Show
The North American debut of the Subaru XV Crosstrek will occur in April when the automaker will bring the model at the New York Auto Show, after its public debut last September during the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. The car is scheduled to go on sale in the third quarter of 2012.
This is essentially an Impreza model that comes with an increase ride height which gives it a ground clearance of 8.7 inches (220m), aluminum wheels and a crossover-inspired appearance. Under its hood there’s only a 2.0-liter boxer power unit that churns 148 hp (150 PS / 110 kW) and will be sold as standard with an AWD configuration with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox.
The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek will be able to return 25 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg on the combined cycle, according to the estimates made by the automaker. It will feature a 15.9-gallon fuel tank in comparison to the Subaru that has a 14.5-gallon fuel tank.
