Honestly, I don’t really know what to think about this car, the Spada Codatronca. First of all, the name, which is Italian for “short tail” or something like that, and then there’s its looks. Italians got us used to beautiful sports cars, but this one is, let’s say…less beautiful.
However, though the name and the looks are not that impressive, things change when we look at the car’s specs. The car is powered by a 7 liter 8 cylinders engine, which produces 630 hp at 6,500 rpm and 668 Nm maximum torque. The car has rear-wheel-drive, 19-inch tires and weighting only 1.3 tons, it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 340km/h (211 mph). The engine is mated to a close-ratio 6-speed transmission. Also, using a conversion kit, the car can be modified to run on E85 fuel, which increases both power and torque.
As we said, the car uses lightweight materials; the chassis, including a roll cage, is made of aluminium, the body is made entirely of carbon fiber.
Rumors say that an ever more powerful version, the Spada Codatronca TTS is already being tested by the Italian company.
