800HP Jeep Cherokee Twin Turbo by Hennessey announced

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 by Hennessey

Hennessey Performance has announced a few days ago its plans on launching an 800hp version of the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. The car will be powered by the standard V8 6.4-liter HEMI engine but the displacement will be increased to 7.0 liters and they’ll also install a couple of turbochargers.

The regular Grand Cherokee SRT8 pumps out 465 hp (471 PS / 347 kW) and a maximum torque of 465 lb.-ft (630 Nm) which is enough for a 0-62 mph sprint in only 4.8 seconds. The price for this model in the United States starts from $55,295.

The Hennessey version of the SUV unleashes 805 hp (816 PS / 600 kW) and a peak torque of 823 lb.-ft (1115 Nm). With so much power under its hood, it’s no wonder that the car is able to hit 62 mph from start in only 3.1 seconds.

Aside from the power boost, the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 by Hennessey features a revised transmission system, 15.1-inch Brembo front + rear disc brakes, a torque converter upgrade, lighter alloy wheels, a lowered sport suspension system and a carbon fiber front splitter. Inside the cabin, it will feature a steering wheel wrapped around in Alcantara while the rest of the interior will be covered in custom leather.

The tuner is planning on producing only 24 units of this version and the base price tag is $235,000, including the standard car.
