Up For Auction – Lee Iacocca’s Ford Mustang 45th Anniversary Edition
The last generation of the Ford Mustang has already spawned in a bunch of special edition versions and one of them is this Lee Iacocca 45th Anniversary Mustang that was unveiled back in July, 2009 as a commemorative model dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the Mustang’s introduction in 1964 at the World’s Fair.
The name for the edition was given after Lee Iacocca, the man behind the Mustang’s design and under the hood there is a powerful V8 4.6-liter engine that outputs 320 hp.
This model was first auctioned off at the Galpin Ford, located in Van Nuys, California where Steve Sularski won the bidding, agreeing to pay $125,000. Now, Lee Iacocca is auctioning off his own personal car and the winner will not only drive home with this special edition, but he will have the chance to have lunch with the living legend.
All the earnings will be given to “Keep Memory Alive”, an organization that aims to raise awareness and supports research towards the cure of many disorders, like Parkinson, Alzheimer, ALS and Huntington’s disease as well as other memory-related disorders.
The bidding for this special edition Mustang will start from $80,000 and some say that it will be sold for more than $125,000.
