Audi Quattro Concept, Green-lighted For Production?
According to a new report, Audi might launch the production version of the Quattro Concept sometime in 2013. This report is stating that the automaker has built an engineering prototype for executive testing. Autocar says that the car will be evaluated by the Board of Management before making a decision whether to put the model into production or not.
Basically, the Quattro concept is a lighter and shorter version of the RS5, packing a 5-cylinder 2.5-liter engine that produces 402 hp (408 PS / 300 kW) and 354 lb.-ft (480 Nm) of torque. This engine was mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, enabling the 2,866 lbs (1,300 kg) coupe to do the 0-62 mph sprint in only 3.9 seconds.
Once more information is revealed (aka leaked), we’ll keep you posted. Stay tuned.
