Baby Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG might get SSK AMG name, will lose gullwings and power
As we revealed a few weeks ago, Mercedes-Benz is definitely considering to expand the family of the current SLS AMG supercar, with a smaller brother (so-called baby version), which is set to duke it out with models like the Porsche 911.
Now, according to a new report, it seems that the smaller SLS will receive the SSK AMG name, and will be the subject of quite a few changes, as opposed to its older brother. First off, it will have a shorter chassis, a smaller, most likely turbocharged engine, and, as a shock to nostalgic Mercedes fans, will lose the gullwing doors.
The model, according to the same report, is scheduled to appear around 2014, as both a normal and a convertible version. Whether or not the rumor is true is still up in the air. Do you think that this so called SSK AMG is a good idea for Merc or should it do what it does best?
