The British tuners from BBR have launched earlier this week two upgrade programs for the Mazda3 MPS and the Mazda6 MPS, the ones equipped with the 2.3-liter DSI power unit. This tuning program is available in three output stages.

The entry-level Phase One raises the output of the engine from the standard 253 hp (256 PS / 188 kW) to 287 hp (290 PS / 213 kW) and a maximum torque of 330 lb.-ft (447 Nm). Phase Two brings 314 hp (318 PS / 234 kW) and 370 lb.-ft (501 Nm).

The Phase Three program ditches the standard turbocharger which can be replaced with one created by BBR or a Garret hybrid GT28 turbo unit that increases the output of the engine to 345 hp (350 PS / 257 kW).

Aside from the power boost, BBR can also install on these two cars adjustable dampers for the suspension, performance springs or a cat black stainless steel exhaust system.
