BMW 6-Series Coupe Priced In UK From 59,565 Pounds

From this Saturday, those of you who live in the UK will be able to order the BMW 6-Series Coupe, a car that made its debut earlier this year at the Shanghai Motor Show. Clients will be able to choose from one of the three engines available, two running on gasoline and one diesel, and all of them will come with the company’s EfficientDynamics fuel-saving technology.

BMW UK says that almost 90% of the sales for the new 6-Series Coupe will be accounted by the 640d model that comes with a 6-cylinder twin turbocharged diesel engine that produces 313 hp and 464.6 lb.-ft (630 Nm) of torque. The power is sent to the back wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

This model is able to do the 0-62 mph sprint in 5.5 seconds and can hit an electronically limited maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The 640d manages to return 51.4 mpg UK (42.8 mpg US or 5.5 liters / 100 km) while the CO2 emissions are of 145 g/km.

If you prefer gasoline, you can opt either for the 640i or the more powerful 650i. Regardless of which one you choose, the car will come equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The BMW 640i Coupe is motivated by a 6-cylinder turbocharged 3.0-liter engine that fires 320 hp and has a peak torque of 332 lb.-ft (450 Nm). It does the 0-62 mph sprint in 5.4 seconds and it won’t go pass 155 mph due to the electronic limiter. Obviously, it drinks more fuel than the diesel as it returns 36.2 mpg UK (30.1 mpg US or 7.8 liters / 100 km) and the CO2 emissions stand at 181 g/km.

Lastly, the top-spec 650i variant of the 6-Series Coupe from BMW is fitted with a more powerful V8 4.4-liter that has two turbochargers and unleashes 407 hp and 442.5 lb.-ft (600 Nm). The car needs only 4.9 seconds to hit 62 mph from 0, while its top speed is 155 mph (250 km/h). As far as the fuel consumption is concerned, the car manages to return 26.5 mpg UK (22 mpg US or 10.6 liters / 100 km) and has CO2 emissions of 246 g/km.

The cars sold in the United Kingdom come as standard with the BMW Professional Navigation, Dakota leather upholstery, xenon headlights + LED front fog lights, electric seat adjustment memory, 18-inch alloys (the 650i gets 19-inch rims), along with front + rear parking radar.

Those who opt for the M Sport package get the “M” aerodynamic package, along with black brake calipers, “Shadowline” exterior trim, 19-inch “M” alloys, dark chrome exhaust pipes, as well as an “M” sport steering wheel, sports seats, aluminum trim and anthracite headlining.
