BMW is the official partner of the 2012 London Olympics
BMW has revealed that it will be the official partner of the 2012 London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games which will take place in the UK’s capital. Part of the agreement will require the company to deliver over 4,000 vehicles in order to transport organizers, athletes and Olympic teams.
“We see our partnership as a major opportunity, over the next three years and beyond, to focus attention on our range of the most fuel efficient premium cars – and also to shine a light on the future of individual mobility,” revealed Lord Sebastian Coe, chairman of the London Organizing Committee. “This partnership will be an inspiration for our customers, employees, dealers and suppliers.”
Besides the cars, which will have fuel saving technologies pioneered by the Efficient Dynamics strategy and will meet strict Euro 6 emission regulations, the company will also provide bicycles for athletes to get around the Olympic village and motorcycles which will be used the same way.
