Boxer diesel powered Subaru Impreza and Forester to debut in Paris

Some time ago, we had the chance to drive the Subaru Outback powered by the 2.0 liter boxer diesel engine and we really loved the car and the way it drives. And now, more good news from Subaru. The Paris Motor Show will mark the debut of the boxer engine on two more Subaru models, the Forester and the Impreza. Already available on the Legacy and the Outback, the boxer diesel will develop 148 hp at 3,600 rpm on the Impreza and 145 on the Forester, while both models will deliver 258 lb.-ft. of torque at 1800 to 2400 rpm. Except the six-speed manual transmission on the Impreza, both model are similar to the petrol powered versions.
