Carlsson transforms the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG into the CK63 RS
That Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG sure is something right? With a massive 6.3-liter V8 engine it can literally push you into your seat with its acceleration and top speed figures. But when a performance model rolls off the assembly line in Frankfurt, you can be sure that the German tuners are anxiously awaiting to get their hands dirty and modify it.
Such is the case with Carlsson, which opted to tinker with the E63 AMG. Outfitted with a reprogrammed ECU, a new sports exhaust system and a few other performance figures, the new CK63 RS model is a true rocket. It can now output 584 HP, as opposed to the stock 525, with a torque of 695 Nm (512 lb-ft), as opposed to 630. What does it all mean in seconds? Well the team managed to shave three tenths of a second from the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time, as the CK63 RS manages to reach that speed in just 4.5 seconds, a great time for a limousine.
Besides the performance upgrade, the German tuning house has also fitted the new model with a bodykit, consisting of a new front apron, side skirts and a rear apron with a built-in carbon fiber diffuser. These parts are completed by four 20-inch two-tone REVO alloy wheels. For those of you with a craving for a modified interior, the Carlsson team can also put new special leathers or aluminum accents, for an extra price that is.

Note to anyone thinking of buying one: buy a ’standard’ E63 AMG and give the money you’ve saved to Save the Children or other charity – you’ll feel better, look better and, probably, live longer!
