2013 Bentley Continental GT V8
The newly developed V8 twin-turbo 4.0-liter engine created by Bentley will be making an appearance in early January at the Detroit Motor Show where it will be installed in the 2013 Continental GT and the 2013 Continental GTC, promising “an instantly recognizable growl”. This engine will be available in special versions of those two models, cars that will be identifiable by their red badges, black grilles, along with “figure eight” exhaust pipes. These cars will be slotted below the current 6.0-liter W12 Continentals which will remain in production.

This new V8 engine uses direct high pressure fuel injection and on light throttle loads it cuts to a fuel-saving four cylinder mode. It is capable of producing 500 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 487 lb.-ft available between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. It is mated to a new eight-speed automatic gearbox from ZF and allows the car to do the 0-62 mph sprint in less than five seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 180 mph.

The British automaker decided not to publish the CO2 and fuel consumption figures of this new V8 engine, but they promised they’ll show them in early 2012. We also don’t know if this power unit has been engineered in order to run on bio-ethanol, taking into consideration that the aforementioned W12 60-liter is compatible with this type of fuel.

Bentley Continental GT2 (rendering)
According to Bentley’s new boss Wolfgang Durheimer, the British automaker is working on a GT2 version of the Continental and it will be 200 kg lighter than the regular GT, weighing 2,200 kg. Compared to the standard coupe, the GT2 version will be 100 hp more powerful and it will be able to do the 0-62 mph sprint in less than four seconds, on its way to a maximum speed of over 200 mph.
The company’s boss didn’t mention if the car will be motivated by a tweaked version of the current W12 engine or it will come with the newly developed twin-turbo V8 which will be out next year. Since both engines are capable of producing more than 600 hp, most likely Bentley is testing them both so we don’t know for sure which one it will get.
It will be a limited edition and company insiders have told Auto Express that it is going to be the most spectacular and fastest road car rolled out by Bentley in all its prolific history. The same source mentions that it will be the first car which won’t come with the traditional 4WD system.

Bentley Continental Flying Spur Limited Edition
Yet another special edition model will be heading to China, this time is based on the Bentley Continental Flying Spur. For this model, the automaker team up with Linley, a British design company that is best known for its furniture and interior design.
Bentley Continental Flying Spur Limited Edition
What they’ve did is apply Santos rosewood veneers to those areas where in the standard version you’ll find walnut or chestnut: roof console, console, fascia and waistrail. Other than that, this limited-run model comes with stainless steel Linley treadplates.
Bentley Continental Flying Spur Limited Edition
For the picnic table and waistrails, the car features a Linley Helix motif which has been applied in a form of decorative veneering dubbed marquetry. As for the rear console, this special Continental Flying Spur has a Linley cigar humidor, while in the trunk there is a Linley-branded leather bag that has a cashmere blanket as well as other Linley items.
Bentley Continental Flying Spur Limited Edition
Only 10 units will be made and all of them will go to China, which if you didn’t know is the company’s biggest market for its 4-door models. We don’t know the price tag for this special edition model, but since the regular Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed costs from 150,900 pounds, this one will probably be somewhere around the 170,000 pounds mark.

2012 Bentley Continental GTC
The British car maker Bentley has brought to the 64th edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show its gorgeous convertible version of the freshened Continental GT. Obviously, the car is based on the fixed-rood variant and comes with more sculpted lines in comparison to the outgoing model, while in the front it has new headlights and a revised design of the grille.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC
It is motivated by the same massive W12 twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter engine that produces 575 hp and a peak torque of 516 lb.-ft (700 Nm) as its coupe sibling. Other than that, it packs an updated 4WD system that delivers more power to the back axle as the power distribution is 40:60, while the older model shared it equally between the two axles. With this hardware configuration, the 2012 Bentley Continental GT is capable of sprinting to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds, on its way to a maximum speed of 195 mph (314 km/h).

Inside the cabin, the car benefits from an updated dashboard that has an all-new instrument panel as well as a touchscreen multimedia system right in the center of the console. The automaker mentioned that the vehicle offers better rear room thanks to the fact that the front seats have a new shape.

During the Frankfurt Motor Show, Bentley has presented the new executive interior concept for the Mulsanne, brand’s flagship model. Why is this thing so special? Because Bentley has changed the car into an Apple multimedia connective hub. Meaning that they have taken all the Apple gadgets from the market and integrated them into their car, from Apple iPads with Bluetooth keyboards to Mini Mac installed in the boot compartment and an Apple Media Center.
In addition to this, the Mulsanne features a ’W-Lan’ internet connectivity, and a 15.6″ High Definition LED drop-down monitor. It has two electric-powered foldable picnic tables (maybe for in-car business meetings?), a center console full illuminated, various new storage areas, a Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) and audio system. And that’s not all: a Tibaldi pen, a cooler, a Privacy Telephone handset, numerous lights set-ups, and different ports and connectors. Aren’t you impressed yet?
Besides all these technology installed, maybe you still wonder why this is promoted as an Executive Interior Concept. The answer is in all the features that it carries.
The price was not announced, but we guess it’s not low.
What do you think about the idea of having all your gadgets installed on you car?

2012 Bentley Continental GTC
The British car manufacturer Bentley has released this week the first official photos and details of its 2012 Continental GTC model which is set to make a public debut in September at this year’s edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show. If you’ve seen the Continental GT Coupe that was launched last year, the GTC version shouldn’t surprise you as far as the styling is concerned, both on the outside and inside the cabin.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC
The front fascia of the redesigned model is inspired by the one fitted to the Mulsanne model, featuring gemstone headlights and an updated grille, along with more crisp lines throughout. Inside, we find a redesigned dashboard that packs a new instrument panel plus a touchscreen interface for the navigation and audio systems. The company also mentioned that there is more rear legroom with the 2012 Continental GTC and they managed to do this by redesigning the front seats.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC
The suspension of the car has been retuned and also it should provide a sharper steering. The front and rear tracks are now wider and the car has been fitted with an improved version of the automaker’s AWD system, featuring a 40:60 rear torque bias whereas the outgoing model has 50:50.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC
The heart of this model is its massive W12 twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter engine which has been revised and now has 15 hp and 50 Nm of torque more than before, for a grand total of 575 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. The power unit is mated to a new QuickShift gearbox and Bentley says that it should be able to change gears faster than before.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC
With this powerful engine, the 2012 Bentley Continental GTC is capable of doing the 0-60 mph sprint in only 4.5 seconds while 0-100 mph takes 10.9 seconds, on its way to a maximum speed of 195 mph (314 km/h).

2012 Bentley Continental GT Speed
The guys from WorldCarFans have managed to grab this week a few spy shots with the upcoming 2012 Bentley Continental GT Speed which is set to make an official appearance next month during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The photos with the prototype were taken somewhere in the near vicinity of the Nurburgring track (what a surprise, right?) and we can see that it has the same updates as the standard facelift version, but it is distinguished by the bigger 21 inch alloys and larger air intakes on the front bumper.
2012 Bentley Continental GT Speed
Under the hood it will feature a massive W12 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine that will fire more than 600 hp (608 PS / 447 kW) and a peak torque of 553 lb.-ft (749 Nm). The engine will be mated to a Quickshift gearbox that will send all of those ponies to the AWD system and we should expect to see a 0-62 mph sprint time of less than 4.5 seconds.
2012 Bentley Continental GT Speed
The car is set to go on sale in the first half of 2012. Pricing and all of the other juicy details of the 2012 Bentley Continental GT Speed will be revealed next month at Frankfurt. We’ll keep you posted so stay tuned.

Bentley SUV (rendering)
Bentley’s CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer, has confirmed this week that the company is working hard on a sport utility vehicle which if it will be green-lighted by parent company VW, it will probably go into production sometime in 2014. Durheimer told Top Gear and Car publications that Bentley is developing its own derivative of the next-gen VW Touareg, Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne.
According to Top Gear magazine, this all-new SUV from Bentley might be powered by a massive V12 6.0-liter TDI engine borrowed from the Audi Q7. Car mentioned that this Bentley model could get the all-new V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo gasoline engine that will make its first appearance in the upcoming 2012 Continental GT. In addition, Car said that chances are that we’ll see this SUV also with a plug-in hybrid powertrain linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Reports say that the SUV will share the modular MLB architecture that will be used for the next-gen Touareg, Q7 and Cayenne, and all of them will benefit from a lightweight aluminum spaceframe. Car added that this 2014 Bentley SUV will be more expensive than the Range Rover as well as the Porsche Cayenne.

Although the auto industry has been affected tremendously by the recent financial crisis, a few companies have managed to increase their sales during these rough times. A good example would have to be Bentley who announced this week that they have increased their sales by 20%, managing to deliver in the first period of this year 2,978 cars, the most units since 2008.
Most of the success is attributed to the increasing demand for the Continental GT model as well as the company’s increasing exposure in China, where the automaker’s sales have risen by a whopping 57% in comparison to the similar period of 2010, selling 680 cars.
In Europe, Bentley’s sales have risen by 25% (494 units) while in the United States they’re up by 23% (907 cars). The only areas where the company’s sales have fallen are the Middle East and Japan.

2012 Bentley Continental GTC Speed
Our esteemed colleagues from Motor Authority have managed to grab a few spy shots with the upcoming facelift for the 2012 Bentley Continental GTC Speed. The prototype you see in these photos comes with minimal camouflage so we can catch a glimpse of the car’s styling. You probably noticed already the design of the new bumper which now incorporates bigger intakes, along with the new exhaust tips and probably some updated brakes.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC Speed
Most likely, the engineers from Bentley will probably shave off a couple of pounds and increase the rigidity of the car. The Continental GTC Speed will be powered by a massive W12 6.0-liter engine that is available on all the models in the Continental GT lineup. The output will probably surpass the 600 hp / 553 lb.-ft mark. This engine will be linked to the same 6-speed gearbox from ZF, but it will be considerably faster thanks to the implementation of the Quickshift function which allows double downshifts. If all of these will turn out to be true, the car will be able to do the 0-62 mph sprint in a mere 4.4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of more than 195 mph.
2012 Bentley Continental GTC Speed
The car will most likely be launched in early 2012, a couple of months after the official debut of the standard Continental GTC.

Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Mulliner
Bentley has announced yet another special edition model that celebrates the company’s ice speed record, which you probably already know that it was beaten by Audi’s RS6 model so the idea of a model that celebrates something that isn’t valid anymore is pretty pointless if you ask me.
Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Mulliner
Anyway, this new one is based on the Continental Supersports convertible and they are going to make only 100 units. It will be available in three exterior colors: Arctica White, Quartzite and Beluga, and will feature “Supersports ISR” graphics along with red-accented detailing along the body.
Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Mulliner
It will sit on 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels that have a “diamond turned finish”, not very attractive in my opinion.
Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Mulliner
Inside the cabin they’ve fitted this special edition with Alcantara, along with high-gloss carbon fiber with a red weave. As standard, the car is offered with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Mulliner
Under that hood there is going to be a W12 twin turbocharged 6-liter engine that produces 631 hp and a peak torque of 590 lb.-ft, which will be enough for a 0-60 mph sprint in 3.8 seconds.
Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Mulliner
Prices start at 189,300 pounds so grab one while you still can, taking into consideration that special editions are very desirable among car buyers.

2012 Bentley Mulsanne
According to various sources, the British automaker Bentley is preparing to bring back to life the “Turbo R” moniker. Essentially, it is going to be a coupe version of the Mulsanne and it will be a rival for the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe.
The engine will probably be an updated version of the V8 6.75-liter that will develop 600 hp (608 PS / 447 kW), which is 95 hp (96 PS / 71 kW) more than in the aforementioned Mulsanne.
Nothing is set in stone at the moment, but the model will probably be launched in the next two years or so. We’ll keep you posted as soon as more information is revealed.

As if the Bentley Supersports QP Light Body Breitling Watch wasn’t enough to celebrate the automaker’s achievement of braking the world record for the fastest car on ice, there are two new watches to go along with the recently announced Bentley Supersports Ice Speed Record special edition.
Dubbed GT Ice and GT Racing Ice, both of them feature an Ice White dial and have an all-polished finish. The GT Racing model sports a special finish that alternates between satin-brushed upper surfaces and polished sides. On the back of the case there is a medallion with the outline of the Bentley Continental GT.
Both models have a Breitling Calibre 13B chronograph movement – chronometer-certified by the COSC and fitted with a calendar displaying the date and day through a generous twin aperture at 3 o’clock.
These watches are a limited edition and the price tag is a whopping $7,165.
In my opinion these watches are somewhat pointless because the current top speed record for driving on ice is held by the Audi RS6, a car that clocked 206.05 mph at Gulf of Bothina in Oulu, Finland.

GT Evolution
The tuners from Amari Design have been very busy lately as they’ve launched a couple of interesting projects. Their latest iteration is the GT Evolution, based on the Bentley Continental GT, the third tuning program revealed in the last six weeks.
They used high quality plastic and carbon fiber for various parts of the car, including the front bumper, bonnet, lip spoiler, fender, side skirts, quarter panel extensions, rear diffuser, rear bumper and exhaust. This Continental GT sits on Amari Design AD 1 rims, extreme deep concave 3-piece forged wheels. The tuning firm announced that pretty soon they will launch their own line of forged wheels.
GT Evolution
Under the bonnet they’ve added a hybrid supercharger, along with a remapping of the ECU and an exhaust upgrade. Thanks to these modifications, the GT Evolution packs over 750 hp (760 PS / 559 kW).
On the inside, they’ve used carbon fiber trimmings on the dashboard paneling, door grabs and steering wheel. The seats have been wrapped around in a mix of Alcantara and Napa leather.
The company announced that they will have their very first showing at the Amari supercars showroom in Preston from the end of this May.

Bentley Supersports QP Light Body Breitling Watch
If this isn’t your first visit on rpmGO, you probably know by now that Bentley has broken the ice speed world record a few weeks ago with its Continental Supersports Convertible, a car that managed to reach a top speed of 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h). Last week in Geneva, the British automaker revealed the Supersports Ice Speed Record limited edition in order to celebrate their achievement.
Bentley Supersports QP Light Body Breitling Watch
They also teamed up with Breitling for introducing a special edition watch that honors the automaker’s achievement. Dubbed Bentley Supersports QP Light Body, the watch comes with a sturdy titanium “chassis”, a raised knurled motif and a dashboard-style dial with three ringed counters.
The watch also features a double-counter system with a central minute hand as well as a twin-handed totaliser, enabling one to read the elapsed hours and minutes at a glance.
