Chevrolet 4×4

The Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 was first manufactured in 2006 by the South Korean subsidiary of General Motors and is a crossover SUV. This car is a nasty “child” born out of the “marriage” of Australian, Korean, Japanese and American parents.  I state that because the car has the Theta platform from General Motors, the 4×4 system from Japan, the engineering components from Australia and it was manufactured in Korea.

That’s why this Chevrolet 4×4 is a mixture of all the best components that you can possibly find inside of a car, components which give it class, style and some of that “quelque chose”  that makes this SUV so perfect. What’s even better is that you can drive it on a city road or highway or you can take it off-road and climb hills. You will not be disappointed in either situation. You can choose between the five and the seven seats version, both offering you a useful storage space and the comfort you need.

The car has a 3.2 litre Alloytec V6 engine manufactured by Holden that produces 167 kW and 297 Nm of torque. That is the reason why the Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 is capable of achieving a top speed of 202 km/h and it turns from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds. The fuel consumption is of 11.6 liters per 100 km, while the car is equipped with a tank that can hold a maximum of 65 liters. The engine runs smoothly, the car being also well isolated from the road noises. This Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 is available both in petrol and diesel versions (2.4 or 3.2 liters engine – the petrol version and 2.0 or 2.2 liters – the diesel version). This model is the first SUV Chevrolet equipped with a diesel engine.

Like always, the car has a 5 speed automatic gearbox with lockup and manual control and even more is equipped with a speed control system that offers the driver the possibility to easily exceed other cars. The Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 has an electronic traction control to prevent the spinning on slippery roads. Because of the MacPherson struts up front, the independent suspension and the four link setup at the back, all the four wheels stay on the road.

When it comes to comfort, we’re talking about reasons for buying one. The Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 is a medium size car. The interior is of high quality: leather is the standard material that covers the seats, the controls are placed handy and the sword-handle handbrake is simple. Luggage capacity is of 465 liters and if you fold the middle row you will increase it to 930 liters. This model is designed with a 85 liters luggage capacity even in the seven-seat configuration.

Moreover, the storage space is expanded by designing big door pockets, a deep glove box, cup holders, a sunglasses holder. The Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 has electric windows and mirrors, a six-disc radio/CD player, a cruise control, heated front seats and a trip computer.

The safety isn’t neglected either. The car is equipped with ABS brakes and electronic brake distribution, front dual-stage airbags for the driver and passengers and even side airbags. The Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 proved its safety in the crash safety tests passing them with flying colors.

The Chevrolet Captiva 4×4 is an amazing and stylish car that is the answer to all your needs and even more. It’s a practical car that is perfect for your family trips and for your daily necessities as well. Interested? I am!
