Fiat wants Chrysler to implement five new facelifts in 18 months
Fiat is seemingly wasting no time in turning its brand new partner company, Chrysler into a lean, mean, car making machine (pun intended), as its president, Sergio Marchionne revealed that he wants the US company to implement five new facelifts across the board to many of its models, and may even include the newly released Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Among the models which will be on the receiving end of a beauty treatment are the Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot and Dodge Caliber. The decision still needs to get approved by the board of directors of Chrysler and the Presidential Task Force on Automobiles, as almost all of the money will be taken from the public, but the company is quite optimistic, as it is rehiring designers, engineers and other staff members it has fired in the last few months.
Do you think that these new facelifts will aid Chrysler and generate a boost in sales? Don’t be shy to leave a comment in the section below.
