Germany Gets Limited Edition Hyundai Genesis Coupe GT

If you live in Germany, you’re in for a treat as the Korean automaker Hyundai announced this week that they are going to roll out a special edition, named Genesis Coupe GT. They took their inspiration when creating this model from the Hyundai Schuhmann Motor Sport Team that participated at the 24-hours endurance race at Nurburgring back in June where they drove a Genesis Coupe.

Under the hood of the car resides a 3.8-liter V6 engine that churns 299 hp (303 PS / 223 kW) and has a peak torque of 266 lb.-ft (361 Nm). It also packs an impressive stainless steel, quad-piped exhaust system. With this power available, the Genesis Coupe GT can do the 0-62 mph sprint in 6.3 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).

In addition, the engineers from Hyundai have lowered the car by 30 mm and fitted it with 19-inch OZ Ultraleggera lightweight alloys that have a Matt Graphite Silver finish and are wrapped around in Dunlop Sport Maxx GT rubbers.

As we said in the beginning, the car will be available only in Germany and Hyundai will make only 50 units and each of these will have a base price of 41,900 Euros, which is quite a lot for a hot Hyundai if you ask me.
