Lamborghini Concept Cars

A concept car is a prototype car created to showcase a concept, a new styling and a new technology. Often, these concept cars are exhibited in motor shows by important car brands that are interested in the public reaction to the newest and most incredible designs which could be then manufactured and offered to buyers.

These concept cars use exotic and expensive materials ranging from paper to carbon fiber and bring incredible improvements not only in the design department, but most importantly in the performance department, especially the engine. Like every other car company, Lamborghini has amazing concept cars, some of them already available for buyers while others remain just concept cars (at least for now) that let us take a glimpse  in the future of the car industry.

A list of the most impressive Lamborghini concept cars seems appropriate if you want to be astounded by a wild design and by an engine that goes beyond your wildest dreams. So, let’s get started!

First on my list of Lamborghini concept cars is the incredible Lamborghini Ankonian a concept designed by Slavche Tanevsky helped by designers from Lamborghini and Audi. This concept car is a more aggressive version of the Lamborghini Reventon having a narrow and a complex looking body that hosts a powerful mid-engine with thin organic LEDs as headlights.

Another incredible Lamborghini concept car is the creation of Marouane Bembli and is called Lamborghini Cachazo. The designer thinks that this concept car is a good replacement for the Gallardo. This supercar has the same lines used by Lamborghini in other designs as well. Just a few insignificant changes were made. The main focus is on the type of fuel used by the engine. Lamborghini went for ethanol, trying to keep this concept car environmentally friendly.

The next Lamborghini concept car was actually produced in factories. I’m talking about the $1.6 million Reventon Roadster that was manufactured only in 21 units. It is the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini ever made. Its exterior design is inspired by the fastest airplanes while the performance delivers nothing less than high speed.

The Embolado is another Lamborghini concept car. It is an extreme sports car with sharp and steady lines created by Luca Serafini. The name of the car refers to a Spanish festival called “Embolado Bull”.

The incredible Lamborghini Madura is a creation of the car designer Slavche Tanevsky and is a possible prototype for the first hybrid Lamborghini scheduled to be released in 2016. The car’s name refers to an island in Indonesia famous for its bull races.

Another Lamborghini concept car is the Furia inspired by the Gallardo LP560-4. Its designer, Amadou Ndiaye created an interesting car using aggressive lines that suggest this supercar’s power delivered by its 5.2 liters V10 engine. The car has larger air intakes and a heavier rear engine cover.

Another incredible Lamborghini concept car is the Lamborghini Ratun designed by Niels Steinhoff as a fierce competitor of the Bugatti Veyron. The car has a central jet-like body with added wings, interesting machine-gun headlights and wheels. This concept car goes to the next level in aircraft inspired designs.

Last, but not least is the X concept, another Lamborghini concept car, created by a talented artist from Iran that wanted to improve the look of the Lamborghini Reventon. To do that, he designed a new front for the car, mounting large wheels. I didn’t forget about other two interesting Lamborghini concept cars: the Insecta (a mixture between the Lamborghini style and the insect world) and the Timador (the overlapping shells supercar).
