Lamborghini company had been founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in the Italian village Sant’Agata Bolognese, a village between Bologna and Modena. His company was making tractors, the best quality of all. All had to be changed when Ferruccio went to the factory of Enzo Ferrari fin Maranello. Lamborghini went there to confront Enzo regarding the malfunction of the transmission of a Ferrari 250 owned by Lamborghini. Ferrari told him that the problem is not the car but the driver.
Lamborghini got very angry about this and went back to his factory and he dismembered the Ferrari car and discovered that Enzo Ferrari used the same transmission that he was using to manufacture his tractors. Lamborghini decided to create a car to be the feared enemy of the Ferrari car. So along with Giotto Bizzarrini, Gian Paolo Dallara and Franco Scaglione made the GTV prototype in 1963.
