The company used the technology and the design package especially used for the Formula1 cars and some other motorsports series. All the IMSA components are made of carbon-onsight and they can be painted in the color desired by the customer. This aerodynamic-enhancement-program was used for the first time in 2007. In pursuit of its main goal, the IMSA Company invested in a more aggressive and aerodynamic shape of the front spoiler which is now perfectly aligned to the wheel arches and has become more visible. The exterior design is completed by the minor power bump, the up-rated wheels and the incredible tires chose for this Lamborghini model.

The upper side of the wheel arches suffered some changes because of the new IMSA CFK air ducts which were perfectly integrated in the car’s body. As a result, the drag effect was significant reduced because of the non-aerodynamic airflow. Another improvement of the 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago GTR are the IMSA side-skirts placed on the underside which guarantee the optimum airflow because of the perfect interaction between the IMSA diffuser and the IMSA rear spoiler. As a result, this Lamborghini model achieves lower down force at incredible high speeds, while the driver enjoys the same incredible driving experience without losing the driving stability. Moreover, despite the high speeds the driver is still safe and able to enjoy the ride.

Under the hood, the 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago GTR is equipped with a 6.5 liters V12 engine just like the standard Murcielago. This engine is able to produce 640 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and features a six-speed manual transmission. That’s way this Lamborghini model can go from zero to 60 mph in only 3.4 seconds while the maximum speed is of 205 mph. That’s fast enough for me!

The interior of the 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago GTR is as exceptional as the exterior of this supercar. To achieve this, the IMSA technical program engineers decided to include a central locking system, personalized tailor-made interiors and a lot of multi-media applications.
