Mercedes E-Class Cabrio by Carlsson
The German tuners from Carlsson have revealed their latest aftermarket program for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet. They took the E 350 CDI model that comes with a V6 3.0-liter diesel engine that delivers 231 hp as standard and they’ve managed to raise its output by 20% to 280 hp and also increase the peak torque from the standard 398 lb.-ft (540 Nm) to 478 lb.-ft (648 Nm). They also remapped the ECU, installed sport springs that can lower the car by 30 mm and improve its handling capabilities.
Design-wise, the new aerodynamic bodykit features a redesigned front bumper that has an RS spoiler lip, along with an updated rear spoiler and new assorted sills. The car now sits on lightweight Carlsson-designed rims, available from 18- to 20-inches. Other goodies include the sport end mufflers that have double-walled stainless steel end tubes.
Inside the cabin, they covered the gearshift lever in Alcantara and leather, along with installing aluminum door pins, pedals, footrest, and soft velvet door mats with the company’s logo.
