One-off 2012 Ford Mustang Blue Angels Edition Revealed
It all started back in 2006 when Ford launched a one-off Mustang GT for the biggest aviation even in the world, the EAA AirVenture, held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This year, they’ve come up with a unique car that pays tribute to the Blue Angels naval aviation demonstration team.
This gorgeous Ford Mustang GT is going to be auctioned off on July 28 and all the money earned will be donated to the EAA Young Angels, which is an organization that since 1992 has offered free introductory flights to about 1.6 million people.
They got their inspiration for this exquisite paintwork from the Blue Angels F-18 Hornet aircraft and it comes with a bespoke chrome blue paint that has “screaming yellow” stripes as well as Blue Angels crest and script. Inside the cabin, this one-off Mustang GT features leather racing seats from Recaro, along with other special details for the performance gauges, cluster graphics, safety belt fabric, navigation screen images, illuminated sill plates and other extra goodies as well.
The car is powered by a V8 5.0-liter Ford Racing supercharged engine that churns 624 hp (632 PS / 465 kW). It also comes with racetrack brakes, performance exhaust and a handling pack.
