Rent A Classic Car

For those of you that want to rent a classic car, you should know that there are plenty of companies that provide these services. However, depending on your location, it may or may not be possible to get in touch with them.

In Virginia, US, you will find the Sports Car Rentals which has been in the business since 1995 and they have some great models, like a 1959 MGA convertible or a 1963 Buick Skylark. Another place in the US is in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the company is called Imperial Classic Limousine Service. They have a couple of Chrysler Imperials from the 1940s-1950s. If you never went down the Route 66, Monte Bruckman – the owner of the company will give you the ride of your life. The most interesting car in this company’s fleet would have to be a C70 Series Crown Imperial from 1956, one of the last eight units available in the world.

In Las Vegas, Nevada you will find Dream Car Rentals. Some of the beauties they have in their garages include a breathtaking Cadillac Eldorado from 1959 and the legendary 1968 Pontiac GTO, one of the most beautiful cars of the 60s. Both cars were very popular about five decades ago and they still turn heads, especially in Europe.

Speaking of Europe, in the United Kingdom there are a couple of companies where you can rent a classic car. We recommend that you go in Stratford as here is the home of the Open Road, where you will be able to rent one of their many British cars as well as a ’66 Ford Mustang. The selection of cars is limited to only 10 models but all of them are very interesting and rare.

If you are in the UK, make sure you visit Oxford where the Vintage Classics can make your dreams come true. In addition, not only you will rent a classic car, but also you will take a 156-miles tour designed by the owner who got his inspiration from the popular “Inspector Morse” series. This tour will be conducted in a very rare Jaguar MK2, exactly like the one the inspector had.

In Dumfries, Scotland you will find the Motorparty company, owned by Martin Edgar, who has seven amazing classic cars available for renting. Besides the iconic and sexy Jaguar E-Type, he owns a 1933 MG Midget which is the only car in the world that was created before WW II. If you are interested in this unique car you should know that an hour long preparation is mandatory and if the staff that will learn you is not satisfied with your performance, they will refuse to let you drive the car. It might sound a little bit drastic, but taking into consideration its uniqueness, we can fully understand them for being so precautions with their prewar MG Midget.

If you happen to drop by in Brisbane, Australia, you can rent a classic car from a company named Aspirations. They will offer you a wide array of sports cars from the 50s and 60s. Richard Gaunt is the owner and he has a 1957 MGA, a 1969 Jaguar S-Type and a 1966 Mustang in his collection.

When in Rome, Italy – have a look at Vintage Car Tour, owned by a couple of women who will let you drive a classic Italian luxury model, only if you agree to be led from place to place by a convoy on a guided tour. Some of their most important cars include the Alfa Romeo 1750 and a Lancia Aurelia.

Our last recommend spot where you can satisfy your needs for driving a classic car is in Touraine, France at Vintage Roads. They specialize in renting Citroen Traction Avant vehicles that were made between ’34 and ’57. These models were among the first FWD cars and were highly acclaimed for their speed. Many of these cars have appeared in big blockbuster movies like The Sound of Music and most important, The Great Escape.

Of course, there are other places where you can satisfy your needs for driving a classic car; we’ll let you discover them.
