You probably know that Mansory is one of the most eccentric tuners in the world but their latest upgrade program for the Audi R8 Spyder is not shocking at all. They’ve fitted the beautiful cabrio with a new aerodynamic package which is considerably more discrete than what we’ve seen before from Mansory.

O.CT Tuning Audi R8 With 557 HP

Audi R8 by O.CT Tuning

The German aftermarket specialists from O.CT Tuning considered that the standard output of the sexy Audi R8 isn’t powerful enough. As a reminder, the regular R8 offers 414 hp (420 PS / 309 kW) from its V8 4.2-liter engine. By adding their “Black Compressor” system, they managed to bring the car’s performances closer to the GT version.

Audi R8 by O.CT Tuning

Aside from that system, they also installed a new stainless steel exhaust system and optimized the ECU, managing to increase the output of the engine to 557 hp (565 PS / 416 kW) which is pretty close to the R8 GT and R8 GT Spyder models that have 552 hp (560 PS / 412 kW) and a peak torque of 398 lb.-ft (540 Nm).

Aside from these improvements, they also removed the V-max limiter and now the car needs only 24 seconds to hit its top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Moreover, the 0-62 mph sprint time has been improved by 0.7 seconds in comparison to the regular model.

The Sexy Women of Audi R8

Super cars are like magnets to women, and Audi R8 doesn’t make any exception. Not only is it the fastest Audi on market and appeared in some blockbusters for the past few years (such as Iron Man or Transformers), but Audi R8 is also able to catch women’s eyes. And we are not talking about any women, but really sexy women.

In the video bellow you can see the magnetism between these two elements during a photo shoot on the Audi R8 and its female fans:

Audi R8 Photoshoot in HD from Tuan Hoang on Vimeo.

We cannot even say which of them gets more of our attention and admiration: the car or the girls. I guess Audi R8 can work with no problems as wingman for seducing women.

So, which one makes you more interested: Audi R8 or the women?

Audi R8 STaSIS Challenge Extreme Edition Revealed

Audi R8 STaSIS Challenge Extreme Edition

If by any chance you are the proud owner of the V8-powered Audi R8 and want to play in the same league as the more powerful V10 version, the tuners over at STaSIS have the perfect solution for your problem. Dubbed the “Challenge Extreme Edition” this mode Audi R8 pack 120 hp more ponies in comparison to the V10 model and at the same time it weighs less.

It has the same engine as the regular model but STaSIS added a supercharger, raising the output to 540 hp, while the peak torque is 435 lb.-ft. After a strict diet, the R8 has a curb weight of 1575 kg, enabling the car to do the 0-60 mph sprint in a mere 3.6 seconds.

They’ve also installed lowering springs that improve handling, while at the same time giving the car a more masculine and aggressive look. The R8 now sits on 9.5×20 ultra lightweight forged aluminum wheels (front), 12×20 forged aluminum rims (rear), wrapped around in high-performance low-profile tires.

Extra power requires bigger brakes so the R8’s new braking system consists of Alcon 390 mm front / 35 mm rear, with 2-piece floating discs.

Lastly, they’ve installed a brand new stainless steel, cross-flow exhaust system that reduces back pressure, improving efficiency and power.

PPI 2011 Audi R8 800 HP

PPI 2011 Audi R8 800 HP

The guys over at PPI Razor have a thing for the Audi R8 and we can’t blame them. Last year, they’ve launched the GTR-10, a performance package for the V10 version, increasing the output of the engine to 600 hp. However, they thought that they could do better, and here is the result: 800 hp from the V8 version.

PPI 2011 Audi R8 800 HP

To boost up the power they had to adapt the power unit to get a better compression ratio, along with a strong resistance of the first and second gear. In addition, they’ve added two R48 Bi-Centrifugal Superchargers and they’ve remapped the ECU. Other modifications include installing a special sport air filter in a carbon fiber air box for optimizing the air flow.

Heffner Twin-Turbo Audi R8 V10 Unleashed

There aren’t many people out there who would say that the R8’s V10 Gallardo-based engine isn’t powerful enough. With its 525 ponies, it is more than we could ever dream for a car. The engineers over at Heffner Performance thought that there was still room for improvement so they’ve installed two big Garrett turbochargers in the rear-end of the car, increasing the output to an incredible 725 hp.

Impressive? We sure think so.

Audi R8 Hyper Black Edition by Anderson Germany

Audi R8 Hyper Black Edition by Anderson Germany

This has to be one of the coolest tuning programs launched for the exquisite Audi R8. Dubbed R8 Hyper Black Edition, the engineers over at Anderson Germany described their masterpiece as a road-going UFO. It features a new carbon fiber body kit that includes a front lip spoiler, a very aggressive rear diffuser, and a huge rear wing.

Audi R8 Hyper Black Edition by Anderson Germany

As you can see, they’ve tinted the windows, smoked the taillights, painted the brake calipers in orange and installed a new set of 19-inch alloy rims that have carbon fiber accents. This exclusive paint color applied to the R8 V10 5.2 has been called “Hyper Black”.

Audi R8 Hyper Black Edition by Anderson Germany

Inside the cabin, you’ll see the continuation of the same carbon fiber theme as they’ve applied this lightweight material almost everywhere, including here the door panels, center console, handbrake and steering wheel. I would have preferred that they chose another color instead of orange, but the leather seats still look exquisite. The addition of Alcantara accents rounds up the interior changes of this R8.

Audi R8 Hyper Black Edition by Anderson Germany

No tuning program would be complete without adding a little more muscles to the engine and so they did as thanks to the revised ECU and the sport exhaust system that has remote-controlled sound control valves, the R8’s massive V10 5.2-liter engine cranks out a whopping 581 hp (589 PS / 433 kW), which is 63 hp (64 PS / 47 kW) more than the standard power plant installed by Audi.

Geneva 2011 – ABT Audi R8 GT S

ABT Audi R8 GT S

Last year in Geneva, ABT presented a 600-hp version of the Audi R8 V10 Spyder. They didn’t stop there as this year they’ve unveiled another variant of the R8, this time packing 620 hp under the bonnet and a red & black styling theme.

ABT Audi R8 GT S

The outside of the ABT R8 GT S has a red paint finish that is contrasted by the use of carbon fiber parts in the middle section of the car. Carbon fiber was used for the engine compartment, red air scoops, windscreen frame cover and both of the front and rear skirts – all in order to reduce the overall weight of the car, although they didn’t say by how much. It also got a brand new set of rims that are available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes.

ABT Audi R8 GT S

They’ve used the same red & black theme for the inside along with carbon fiber parts, including the door trims and the dashboard.

ABT Audi R8 GT S

This increase in power from 520 hp to 620 hp was possible by installing a performance kit that includes a sports exhaust system, allowing the 5.2-liter V10 to take the car to 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). To round up the upgrade program, they’ve installed a more taut suspension.

MTM R8 V10 Biturbo, Heading To Geneva

MTM R8 V10 Biturbo

I’ve always liked MTM for their tuning programs, but the looks of their R8 V10 Biturbo are too flashy for my tastes. I don’t think that any car in the world looks good in a chrome exterior, and the Audi R8 is no exception to this rule.

MTM R8 V10 Biturbo

The good thing is that the engine of the R8 has received a little bit of tweaking and can now produce 766 hp (777 PS / 571 kW) and a peak torque of 655 lb.-ft (888 Nm) of torque. Thanks to the bi-turbo kit, the car will be able to hit a top speed of over 224 mph (360 km/h), once the testing is completed. According to MotorVision.de, MTM managed to a hit a top speed of “only” 216 mph (347.6 km/h).

MTM R8 V10 Biturbo

The car now sits on 20-inch rims wrapped around in Michelin PS2 rubber. In addition, it sports new 8-piston brakes, a new front lip, and rear spoiler along with a bunch of handling improvements. That powerful engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

MTM R8 V10 Biturbo

When it will be available, the MTM Audi R8 V10 Biturbo will have a very steep price of 400,000 Euros.

Another interesting tuning program for a German car is the Challenge Extreme Edition for the Audi R8 V10 Spyder. The American tuners managed to add their own supercharger to the already powerful V10 5.2-liter, which now outputs 700 bhp (710 PS / 522 kW). The standard engine produces “only” 518 bhp (525 PS / 386 kW). The level of the torque is also up by 190 Nm (140 lb-ft). With these upgrades, the Audi R8 V10 Spyder needs only 3.1 seconds to do 0-60 mph, which is 0.6 seconds less in comparison to the standard model.

Hamann Porsche Cayenne II (958)

Hamann Porsche Cayenne II (958)

Another tuning program for the Porsche Cayenne II was launched by the German tuners at Hamman. The new body kit available with this tuning program consists of a new front apron that has LED day-timers, side sills, and a carbon-fiber bonnet with additional air intakes, an imposing quad sport exhaust and a new rear diffuser and apron.

With this program, the German tuners at Hamann will offer their own set of light-alloy rims that measure 11 x 23-inches, covered by 315/25 R 23 tires. There will be three different looks available for the program, as follows: Edition Race Anodized, Unique Forged Anodized and the Unique Forged Brushed. Hamann also tuned the V6 diesel power unit, increasing the overall power to 202 kW / 275 PS and a massive 620 Nm of torque, in comparison to the standard version that offers 176 kW / 240 PS and a 550 Nm of torque.

For customers that own a Cayenne equipped with an air suspension, Hamann can offer a ride-lowering system that will bring the car 35mm closer to the ground.

Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli crashes his Audi R8

Manchester City's Mario Balotelli crashes his Audi R8

Seeing as how the Ferrari 458 Italia is currently dominating headlines with its fire prone nature, a new incident seeks to keep the also flammable Audi R8 on top.

Manchester City football player Mario Balotelli has crashed his matte black Audi R8 on the streets of the British city, presumably in a collision with a BMW.

While the German supercar didn’t burst into flames, like in certain recent incidents, the front end is pretty damaged. Luckily, Balotellli sustained no injuries and is already training alongside his teammates. With his massive salary, courtesy of the sheiks that own the Manchester City club, he also won’t mind the repair bill for the R8.

Video: Another Tata Nano catches fire and burns to a crisp

Quick, what do the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Audi R8 and the Tata Nano have in common? Both the supercars and the cheap compact are extremely fire-prone.

After hearing quite a few stories about burning Ferrari 458 Italia models, the Nano is back with a vengeance, as another model went up in flames on the streets of Delhi last week.

It seems that as soon as the owner attempted to turn on the car, sparks came out of the rear, where the engine was located, and a fire immediately started. Fire fighters were quick to intervened but the Nano already burned to a crisp.

A Tata spokesman revealed that the cause of the fire is still unknown, but that people shouldn’t panic, as there are still tens of thousands of Nanos on Indian roads that aren’t burning.

Check out the fire engulf the Tata Nano in the video after the jump.

Video: Yet another Ferrari 458 Italia on fire

It seems that the Audi R8 should move over as a new model has become the most flammable exotic supercar in the world. We are, of course, talking about the extremely fire-prone Ferrari 458 Italia.

After seeing it burn in France and in Switzerland, we now get to see the first video of a 458 Italia going up in flames in China of all places.

In all seriousness though, Ferrari should definitely look into this problem as if there’s a problem with the supercar, it should be fixed as soon as possible.

Check out the fiery footage below with the burning Ferrari 458 Italia.
