2011 BMW 6-Series Cabrio by Hamann

The German tuners from Hamann decided to offer us a sneak preview of the upcoming tuning program for the gorgeous BMW 650i Cabriolet. As much as we like the standard version, this bodykit is just too much for the car, but in the end we all have different tastes and we’re certain that some of you will like how the car looks. This kit will include a front spoiler, rear apron, rear spoiler, side skirts and new LED daytime running lights.

Hamann BMW X6M Carbon Kit

Hamann BMW X6M Carbon Kit

Back in February 2010, Hamann released the upgrade program for the BMW X6M and this month at the 81st edition of the Geneva Motor Show, they’ve updated this tuning package with a carbon fiber kit. Essentially, the car received various carbon fiber aerodynamic parts, without any changes in the engine department. Carbon was used for the front spoiler lip, rear diffuser, rear boot lid wind, roof wing, rear lights surrounds, side mirror casings, roof rails and bonnet.

The Hamann BMW X6M Carbon Kit is powered by an engine that can develop 670 hp (493 kW) @ 6,000 rpm and 950 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm and 5,650 rpm. With this power under the bonnet, the car can sprint to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h.

Mercedes SLS AMG HAMANN HAWK

Mercedes SLS AMG HAMANN HAWK

This week at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the German tuner Hamann will bring its newest tuning project based on the Mercedes SLS AMG. Dubbed Hamann Hawk, it will have an Everose Gold exterior paint finish and a new wind tunnel-tested body kit.

Mercedes SLS AMG HAMANN HAWK

It will have a new front bumper fascia with LED lights and enlarged air inlets. It sports a new lighter carbon fiber bonnet that allows the hot air to escape while the fender flairs provide an additional 60 mm on each front side and 70 mm on each rear side. Rounding out the new body kit are the updated side skirts, new rear bumper fascia with an integrated diffuser and a carbon fiber wing.

Mercedes SLS AMG HAMANN HAWK

The standard V8 6.2-liter engine of the Mercedes SLS AMG churns out 563 hp (571 PS / 420 kW), but after Hamann installed high-performance titanium exhaust manifolds and sports catalysts it can output 628 hp (636 PS / 468 kW). To get this additional power under the hood, they’ve also installed a new sports air filter and they’ve tweaked the ECU of the supercar. Thanks to these modifications, the SLS AMG Hamann Hawk can do the sprint to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, onto a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).

The car’s center of gravity can been lowered by up to 30 mm thanks to the coilover kit with four high-adjustable  dampers and four progressively wound springs. The SLS AMG sits on Hamann’s 9Jx21 lightweight forged wheels at the front, wrapped around in 245/30 ZR 21 rubber; and in the back it has 12.5Jx21 wheels with 345/25 ZR 21 tires.

Hamann 2011 BMW 5 Series M Sport Now Available

Hamann 2011 BMW 5 Series M Sport

There is good news and bad news about the Hamann 2011 BMW 5 Series M Sport. The good news is that the car features an aerodynamics package that has a competition front spoiler which will increase the downforce on the front axle, a new rear bumper insert, a roof spoiler, a rear spoiler as well as a new front bumper and side skirts.

The bad news is that Hamann did not include any performance upgrades to the 5 Series. However, most likely they will offer one in the months to come as we know how much they love bimmers.

Getting back to this package, the car now rolls on 21-inch light alloy rims with 255/30 ZR21 tires for the front wheels and 295/25 ZR21 out in the back. In addition, the car is now 35 mm lower thanks to the new suspension and it has a new rear silencer with four tail pipes.

Inside the cabin, Hamann offers a bunch of carbon fiber trim parts, aluminum pedals as well as a specially designed sports steering wheel with an airbag.

We’ll let you know once they reveal a proper tuning program for this more than proper car.

HAMANN Lamborghini Gallardo Victory II

HAMANN Lamborghini Gallardo Victory II

The first version of the Hamann Lamborghini Gallardo Victory was launched back in 2007 and now the second iteration of the tuning program has arrived. The new package consists of an updated wide body kit, increased engine output and better handling capabilities. The body of the Gallardo is now broader and the number of the carbon components has significantly increased.

One of the most important features of the car is the Lambo-doors which aren’t available for the standard Gallardo model. Hamann had the great idea (in our opinion) to add them with the occasion of the Victory II tuning program. In addition to the spectacular doors, the tuning package consists of a fresh new front apron in Race-design that has a center carbon part, enhancing the sporty look of the sexy Italian car. The Gallardo Victory II received new fenders in the front as well as fender extensions in the back of it. The air inlet located on the roof and the extended side skirts are available in carbon.

In the back of the Gallardo Victory II you will notice the fresh new design of the rear wing and the diffuser. The rear wing is available in carbon or fiber glass, depending on the choice of the customers. In addition, the people at Hamann can add a carbon layer to the bonnet on top of that. The car now rolls on 20-inch Edition Race wheels that have a special varnish, emphasizing the new fresh and dynamic appearance of the Gallardo. The reduced unsprung masses translate into better handling capabilities as well as a more agile acceleration and safer braking. Hamann recommends the following wheel/tire combination: 9.5Jx20 with 235/30ZR20 tires for the front wheels and 13Jx20 with 325/25ZR20 for the back wheels of the Gallardo.

HAMANN Lamborghini Gallardo Victory II

By adjusting the power unit’s electronics, the Hamann Lamborghini Gallardo Victory II is now capable of outputting 580 hp (427 kW) and an impressive maximum torque of 575 Nm. With this power boost, the car is now capable of reaching a respectable top speed of 328 km/h. By applying an end muffler to the serial end pipes, the massive V10 engine of the car sounds more spectacular than ever.

Moving inside the car, the Hamann Gallardo is fitted with a 14-part carbon set that features various decorative blends, the door openers and the steering wheel. For a perfect seating position, the car is equipped with Hamann sport seats that have a carbon back render. As an optional feature, the upholstery can be offered in a bundle of variations and configurations, depending on the request of the customer. The car is available with personalized floor mats and entire leather upholstery.

The price for the Hamann Lamborghini Gallardo Victory II has not been announced yet.

Tunings Of The Day

TopCar Vantage GTR 2 Porsche Cayenne II

TopCar Vantage GTR 2 Porsche Cayenne II

The tuning program for the Porsche Cayenne II launched by TopCar was announced last week at the Essen Motor Show, but two days ago the Russian tuner published more information about the program. The Vantage GTR 2 benefits from a body kit that includes a redesigned front spoiler and bumper, an updated bonnet, wide fenders, a new rear spoiler and bumper, but also a new rear diffuser. In addition, the Russians at TopCar added new side mirrors, forged wheels and LED lights.

All of the new body components are made out of carbon-fiber and carbon-kevlar materials. As far as the engine tuning is concerned, TopCar promised a power increase from 405 kW (550 PS) and 552 kW (750 PS) for the Porsche SUV. TopCar will be manufacturing only 50 units of the Cayenne II Vantage GTR 2.

STaSIS Engineering Audi R8 V10 Spyder

STaSIS Engineering Audi R8 V10 Spyder

Another interesting tuning program for a German car is the Challenge Extreme Edition for the Audi R8 V10 Spyder. The American tuners managed to add their own supercharger to the already powerful V10 5.2-liter, which now outputs 700 bhp (710 PS / 522 kW). The standard engine produces “only” 518 bhp (525 PS / 386 kW). The level of the torque is also up by 190 Nm (140 lb-ft). With these upgrades, the Audi R8 V10 Spyder needs only 3.1 seconds to do 0-60 mph, which is 0.6 seconds less in comparison to the standard model.

Hamann Porsche Cayenne II (958)

Hamann Porsche Cayenne II (958)

Another tuning program for the Porsche Cayenne II was launched by the German tuners at Hamman. The new body kit available with this tuning program consists of a new front apron that has LED day-timers, side sills, and a carbon-fiber bonnet with additional air intakes, an imposing quad sport exhaust and a new rear diffuser and apron.

With this program, the German tuners at Hamann will offer their own set of light-alloy rims that measure 11 x 23-inches, covered by 315/25 R 23 tires. There will be three different looks available for the program, as follows: Edition Race Anodized, Unique Forged Anodized and the Unique Forged Brushed. Hamann also tuned the V6 diesel power unit, increasing the overall power to 202 kW / 275 PS and a massive 620 Nm of torque, in comparison to the standard version that offers 176 kW / 240 PS and a 550 Nm of torque.

For customers that own a Cayenne equipped with an air suspension, Hamann can offer a ride-lowering system that will bring the car 35mm closer to the ground.

Hamann Rolls Out The Flash Evo M

Hamann Flash Evo M

Based on the BMW X5 M, the Hamann Flash EVO M features an aggressive body kit that matches with the extra muscles of this powerful SUV. In the front we have a spoiler that sports LED daytime running lights and generous air intakes that allow a more efficient cooling of the brakes and power unit. The standard bonnet of the X5 M was replaced with a carbon fiber one and the car also got side sill bars, carbon fiber mirror heads, a rear spoiler, side wings for the wheel arches, roof spoiler and fender extensions. In addition to all of these upgrades, the Flash Evo M is equipped with a sport exhaust system that features center-mounted double-pipes which are integrated into the new diffuser.

The most important upgrade over the original model can be found in the engine compartment. The hardware modifications brought by Hamann allow the engine to output 449 kW (610 PS) and an incredible torque of 780 Nm. The standard BMW X5 M has “only” 408 kW (555 PS) and a 680 Nm torque. If this engine upgrade is not enough for most customers, Hamann can fit the SUV with a HM 670 sports kit that offers 493 kW (670 PS) and a 950 Nm torque.

Hamann Flash Evo M

The car now is 30 mm lower thanks to the progressively wound suspension that allows the driver to handle the car better at speeds that can reach 300 km/h. The car will be riding on big 22 or 23-inch light alloy rims. For stopping this fast SUV, Hamann developed a very efficient braking system by using massive 405 mm diameter brake discs for the front wheels and 340 mm diameter brake discs for the wheels in the back. The 6-pot calipers provide the needed delay at the front axle and the 4-pot calipers do the same job on the rear axle. In order to prevent and avoid fading during high stress, the Flash Evo M features flex brake lines.

Moving on in the inside, we find the carbon & stainless-steel sill with the “Hamman” illuminated logo. In addition, you get a nice quilted leather interior stitching and Alcantara. The car comes with “Hamman” floor mats as well as a trunk mat that round up the luxurious interior look.

Hamann unveils new Conqueror II tuning package for Range Rover Sport

Hamann is a pretty busy tuning company, as not only did it present upgraded takes on the Fiat 500 Abarth and Abarth Esseesse at the Geneva Motor Show, but it also presented the stunning Hamann Tycoon Evo M, based on the BMW X6 M.

Now, the company has revealed yet another tuned SUV, this time a fresh take on the older Conqueror package it revealed for the Range Rover Sport. The aptly named Conqueror II is based on the Supercharged version of the luxury SUV, taking the output of the 5.0-liter V8 to 560 HP and 506 lb-ft of torque. This is largely due to the optimized ECU and a new sports exhaust system.

Of course the styling of the British SUV couldn’t be left unchanged, and Hamman fitted a complete body kit, a carbon fiber hood, LED daytime running lights and offers a variety of 23-inch wheels. Customers will also enjoy aluminum and carbon fiber accents on the inside, as well as new materials from which to choose.

Hamann tunes the Fiat 500 Abarth and Abarth Esseesse to 271 HP

The Fiat 500 is a very sporty little model, especially with its 1.4-liter engine. In case the stock options don’t really tickle your fancy, then you can always opt for either the Abarth edition, which outputs 133 HP or the even sportier Abarth Esseesse, which generates 158 HP.

But those numbers can’t make a true pocket rocket, at least according to the tuners at Hamann, which revealed a five-stage tuning kit for the two cars, ultimately taking the output to a whopping 271 HP and 380 Nm of torque.

The multiple upgrades all target things like the ECU, the turbocharger or the air filter of the 1.4-liter engine and the exhaust system. Performance brakes, with larger discs have also been fitted behind a set of 18-inch wheel which can be ordered in either glossy or matte black.

Of course the aerodynamics of the small city car have been tweaked, with Hamann fitting a new body kit with front skirt, LED daytime tunning lights, wider wings and side skirts.

Hamann Tycoon Evo M brings 670 HP to BMW X6 M

The BMW X6 has generated a lot of mixed reactions both in the auto industry and among fans of the Bavarian brand. But one segment which absolutely fell in love with the Sports Activity Coupe were tuners, which saw great potential for the big model.

Hamann has revised its tuning package for the X6 M and just revealed the Tycoon Evo M package, which takes the output of the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine up to a Lamborghini Murcileago-like 670 HP and 576 lb-ft of torque. How did it achieve such an increase of 115 HP? Just by recalibrating the ECU and fitting a new high-flow exhaust system. As such, you can sprint in this modified X6 from 0 yo 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds and up to 186 mph, which is quite impressive given the fact that it weights almost 5,250 pounds (2,380 kg).

Besides the big increase in power, the tuning company also released a restyled wide body kit for the BMW X6 M, which includes revised elements like the front and rear fascia, the addition of LED daytime running lights or wider fenders by 60mm. Customers will also be able to order 23-inch forged wheels wrapped in performance tires, as well as a carbon fiber interior trim option.

Ferrari California gets tuned by Hamann

The new Ferrari California is a very attractive car, combining some sleek design lines with high end performance, trademark of the Italian automaker. But what the Italians can do, the Germans can improve, at least in this car’s case, as Hamann Motorsport decided to tinker with the California and see just what it can come up with.

The result is a new tuning offer from Hamann which will reprogram the ECU of the California, thus offering a 20% improvement of the stock 4.3-liter V8 engine, which will now output 552 HP. Besides this mechanical modification, the German tuner will also outfit the car with 21-inch alloy wheels, connected to new progressive suspension springs which lower by more than one inch the new Ferrari.

Of course the aerodynamics and the exterior look couldn’t have been forgotten, as Hamann outfitted a new front spoiler consisting of two pieces, which has an integrated side molding made of carbon fiber. New custom side vents, side skirts and a new rear wing have also been added, in order to complete the bodykit, which can be delivered to the client in either fiberglass or carbon fiber, depending on the preferences.

While it may not seem that much of a modification as opposed to the standard model, if you want to really make your new Ferrari California stand out from the pack, you might want to visit Hamann Motorsport.
