Lamborghini Parts

Lamborghini Company is related to the man that had the inspiration, knowledge and determination to transform a dream into reality: Ferrucio Lamborghini. Mr. Lamborghini was born in Renazzo, a small village near Bologna, Italy, at April 26th, 1916. In world war two, he is sent to take care of maintaining the vehicles in Rhodes Greece. In this period he bought few military old vehicles and transformed them into tractors because Italy needed urgent those kind of vehicles after war. In 1959, its business is getting bigger and bigger and he starts producing ovens and air conditioner machines. At some point he even tries to produce helicopters, but he is restricted by the Italian government

Ferruccio Lamborghini decided to turn his attention on the automobiles and in this way, his life changed dramatically and since that moment, the world of vehicles wasn’t the same. In 1964 Lamborghini starts to deliver cars that represent the ideal of beauty and perfection expressing better than anything else the ideal of being the best. Year 1972 was marked of the biggest crises in the Lamborghini history, so Ferrucio Lamborghini was obliged to sell 51% of his company to a Swiss citizen named Georges-Henri Rossetti and then in 1974, he sold the rest of the company meaning 49% to a friend of Rosseti named Rene Leimer.  Even so, the name of Lamborghini for one of the most expensive cars in the world was kept in the same manner as his founder did.

Fastest Lamborghini

Stop, close your eyes, take a deep breath and then take a look at the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. This engineering marvel is the fastest Lamborghini car ever created.

When you look at it, after the numbness that catches you by simply looking at it and after the mouth slowly closes back up, you will than be able to realize that it follows the same lines as the Lamborghini Renventon and the awesome Sesto Elemento concept. Automobili Lamborghini chose the fastest aircraft to design the fastest Lamborghini yet.

Fastest Lamborghini

This hypercar has a set of superflue proportions. It has 4.78 meters in length, its 2.26 meters wide and nothing more than 1.13 m in height. These are the results of hundreds of “air tunnel” testing to improve aerodynamics at maximum while reducing friction from all sides. The bodywork contains all the aerodynamic elements starting with the front spoiler, and ending p with the rear diffuser. Even more, the rear spoiler is now deployable and can be controlled electronically. The approach angle has been set to 4 degrees to considerably optimize the directional stability when riding at high speeds, making it reach the “spectrum peak” making it unchangingly easy to handle. The 11 degrees tilt delivers uniformly and perfectly enough downforce in midrange speed with the same purpose of optimizing stability and handling beyond any other sports car.

If you found yourself among the selected few that actually got to sit inside a Reventon, than you must have seen Lamborghini’s attempt to transform the Reventon’s dashboard into a genuine fighter cockpit. The state of the art gadgets and gauges that react with about the same precision as a jet fighter’s instruments, are only a few of the new technologies integrated in the new Aventador. All the information is displayed a large LCD screen, while another one holds control over the stereo, navigation and other multimedia devices. The center console of the car looks incredibly futuristic. It’s like you’re expecting it to start talking too. ABS, electronic brakes distribution, anti-slip controllers, servo-tronic steering that is dependent on speed AND G-force, ESP and drive select are only a few of the cool gadgets integrated in this awesome car.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

Now let’s talk real business and see what lies under the hood if this …monster. Lamborghini has said loud and clear that there will be no other engine than a V12 powering up these hypercars. Even more, they have worked around the clock to improve the fabled V12 engine from last year that could be seen on the Murcielago SuperVeloce. The Aventador will come with an improved 6.5 liter V12 engine that will produce a shocking 700 horsepower. This is the first completely redesigned, new and improved engine since the Countach. This will enable the Aventador to launch itself from 0 to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds. Of course if you don’t remove your foot from the acceleration you will be literally blasting off reaching 350km/h. Another element that Lamborghini excels at is power to weight ratio. Since the car is only 1.575 kg heavy, it delivers an unparalleled power to weight ratio of 2.25 kg/hp. Feat that hasn’t been matched by any of the competition. Not even Bugatti managed to achieve this incredible ratio with their heavy bulldozer.

For such a powerful car, Lamborghini is very giving this year pricing it only at $379.700. This explains why more than half of them are already on preorder. If this keeps up Lamborghini might have to extend their production limit over 4000 and no wonder since cars like Lamborghini usually are traded for diamonds.

Customize Your Own Lamborghini

If you have already spent a six figures budget on your new Lamborghini you might also be interested in customizing your brand new purchase. It will cost you some extra money but the result will be worth it. The process may not be very complicated but there is a need of an expert touch if you don’t want to ruin your car. So look for someone that knows how to paint a luxurious car and is used to all the additional gadgets you would like to add.

To easily customize your own Lamborghini you should think about changing the exterior color. You should choose a color that is not used for the cars that are produced in the Lamborghini factories. You can pick your favorite color or a combination of your favorite colors in order to make it more interesting. You can also use different designs for the exterior and paint the shapes in different colors. You will transform your car in a piece of art, easily recognizable, like the Lamborghini craftsmanship and styling wouldn’t already be enough. You can even hire an artist to paint your car and provide you with one of his original designs.

You can also think about ordering a special license plate. You can’t get a car more unique than that, considering that the license plate you will design will be only displayed by your Lamborghini. You can choose any combination of words that can refer to the type of Lamborghini you drive or to something more original and personal in order to customize your own Lamborghini.

Customize Your Own Lamborghini

Don’t be afraid to use stencils or decades to complete the exterior look of your Lamborghini. The best way to take advantage of their use is by applying them on top of a single color paint job, because their shape will be better accentuated. You can design yourself the stencil or you can use a standard decal that you can easily find at an automotive shop. You can choose designs likes flames, skulls or the Lamborghini seal and you will obtain a customized Lamborghini. The best locations for these stencils or decals are the hood or the sides of the Lamborghini sports car you are trying to customize.

Another action that will help you turn your Lamborghini into a unique vehicle is the replace of the steel wheels with another pair of wheels painted in the same color as the car’s exterior. This will change completely your Lamborghini’s appearance, because the one color body will seem more stylish.

A good example of a company that does a great job in customizing high-end cars, including Lamborghinis, is Sound in Motion, located in Massachusetts. Let’s take the example of a Gallardo they recently upgraded. We all know that the space inside any exotic car is limited. That’s why the Sound and Motion team tried and succeeded in integrating a lot of gadgets and a complete audio system inside this Italian wonder. They also replaced the Audi-esque radio with an Alpine INA-W900 touch screen along with other gadgets: GPS, DVD, iPod, HD radio and a back-up camera. There was also added a custom trim ring that was manufactured from ABS plastic in order to provide that OEM finish.

These are just a few examples of things you can do in order to customize your own Lamborghini and of companies that can offer you some support. There is also a Lamborghini customizing program called “Ad Personam” that you can take into consideration if you want a unique, customized car that is signed by Lamborghini. But that will cost some extra money.

Lamborghini Murcielago 2011

The 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 comes with important innovations which involve the body design and the mechanical components, including the braking system, the electronic components and the suspension. As its name reveals, the Murcielago LP640 is equipped with a new engine placed in the “longitudinale posteriore” area, able to produce 640 horsepower.

The exterior design of this 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago follows the traditional principles of the Italian automaker, including purism, sport and functionality. As a result, the Murcielago LP640 looks more aggressive with its new front and rear bumpers along with the exhaust system terminal which is incorporated into the diffuser. The list of innovations made by the engineers on the 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 includes also the rear lights making it even easier to distinguish the car at night.

Lamborghini Murcielago 2011

The design of the sides, especially on the left side is incredible. The left side features a vast aperture to cool the oil radiator while the area behind the air intakes on the right side seems to be closed. The entire exterior design with its aerodynamic components well accentuated, maintains the opinion that the shape of a Lamborghini is always given by functionality. The 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago benefits also from new rear view mirrors and new windscreen wipers to improve the aerodynamics while the Hermera wheel rims are made of light metal being equipped with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. But the well known scissor doors are still in place, made of sheet steel and honeycombed carbon fiber.

The interior of the 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 was upgraded as well. It’s more spacious and features redesigned head restraints, new comfortable seats and a new instrument panel with lights. The leather upholstery is the key word featuring lozenge-shaped stitching (known as Q-citura). Modern gadgets are also part of the design including a new Kenwood radio with a 6.5’ widescreen monitor, DVD, WMA and MP3 player.

The “magic” continues under the hood, where the new engine was radically modified. This 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago is equipped with a 6.5 liters V12 engine able to produce 640 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. This new engine can reach a maximum torque of 660 Nm. As a result, the Murcielago LP640 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.4 seconds while the maximum speed achieved by this sports car is of 211mph.

The 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago meets all the European and North American law requirements when it comes to exhaust fumes. And to do that, the engineers have created a larger oil radiator while the air intakes on the left side were enlarged. In addition, because of the higher torque and power, the new Murcielago LP640 is equipped with a modified six-ratio gearbox and even an automatic e-gear is available, on request, for the buyer. The 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 also features a four-wheel drive system and the well known Viscous Traction system. The car is also equipped with self-ventilating front and rear brakes, the anti-blocking system with electronic brake control and four speed sensors and an electro-hydraulic control unit. This 2011 Murcielago LP640 is perfectly equipped to confront all the obstacles and the road conditions without putting the driver and the passenger in danger. When it comes to safety measures, this 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago meets all the requirements being equipped with two front airbags and all the braking system components needed for special road conditions.

If you are interested in buying a 2011 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 you should know that that the starting price is around $350,000 and can be higher depending on your demands regarding the interior gadgets or the engineering components.

Lamborghini Embolado

Lamborghini tries to surprise the car lovers with new and incredible sports cars, more luxurious and fast each time. During the years, the Italian automaker revealed a lot of concept cars, each of them more futuristic and high performance than the previous which proves that the future of the car industry is well outlined and for the interested buyers the offer will be of high quality.

One of these concept cars revealed by Lamborghini is the Lamborghini Embolado which is the creation of Luca Serafini, an Industrial Design final year student from the Parma University, Italy. The Lamborghini Embolado is the result of Luca’s desire to become a future designer of the Lamborghini brand. He actually lives in Modena, just a few miles away from the Lamborghini’s head quarters. Close enough to call it “home”.

The young student confessed that in designing the Embolado he was inspired by “the research of a Spanish festival, called Embolado Bull”. This new Lamborghini car is based on the Gallardo’s dimensions but this time the designer defined the main lines in a steady way providing the soon to be next Lamborghini sports car with “the front end taurin forms”. Because the side surfaces give any viewer the impression of movement, the Lamborghini Embolado can be considered to have a natural sleek appearance. Also, one can state that the exterior design of the Embolado is entirely based on “aggressiveness”.

Lamborghini Embolado

The Lamborghini Embolado can be distinguished because of its sharp edges and short front and rear overhangs. The exterior design is completed by the dominating side air intakes placed forward of the rear wheels. As a result, the car has a lot of incredible shadows and highlights which can be seen around the rear arches and side sills. The “nose” of the Lamborghini Embolado and the rear panel are well designed and are very difficult to define. That’s because the rear panel seems cluttered while the nose looks “old-fashioned” if we compare it with the Murcielago’s LP640 or the Gallardo’s front end.

This new concept car will definitely bring something new in the car industry because the Embolado is expected to become a commercial sports car. The Lamborghini Embolado has that “quelque-chose” that will allow it to become one of the most popular sports car. To ensure that, it’s very likely that this sports car will be equipped with a powerful engine and high performance engineering components as any other Lamborghini car. And definitely, the interior will be as luxurious and exotic as its exterior, even if the Italian automaker will try to manufacture this car as a commercial vehicle available for every buyer’s budget.

Even if the Italian automaker hasn’t yet decided when the Lamborghini Embolado will be introduced in production, I hope that this decision will be taken soon, because this sports car looks amazing and if Lamborghini decides to make it available on the market at a reasonable price, we will have the opportunity to enjoy driving an extremely aggressive sports car. Imagine that: being the owner of an incredible fast and luxurious car at a pretty good price. It’s just a question of time until the day when Lamborghini will announce the release of the Lamborghini Embolado as a brand new model. My advice for you is to prepare yourself for a new era of the car industry. A new era when owning a fast and luxurious sports car even if you aren’t rich will no longer be a problem. But we must pray the crowed traffic will also be kept under control, so that we can enjoy our ride.

Lamborghini Concept S

The Lamborghini Concept S was designed by Lamborghini’s Head of Design, Luc Donckerwolke that was inspired by a super cool sports car, the Lamborghini Gallardo. Actually the designer used its floor plan as base for its new project. The Lamborghini Concept S is considered an embodiment of the open car concept. This amazing supercar was well received by the audience and its designer received a few awards because of his revolutionary vision when his concept car was revealed. It is thought to be the fierce competitor of the Ferrari F430 Spider and most people consider that the Lamborghini Concept S will be the winner when it comes to the overall assessment.

This supercar was displayed for the first time at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. It is considered that the Lamborghini Concept S was envisioned as a modern interpretation of the single-seat roadster of the past. The designers used a “change wind” instead of the conventional windscreen and divided the interior into two different compartments. The “change wind” is strategically placed to give an awesome look to the car and in the same time serves as an air inlet for the engine placed behind the seats. As a result, the car has a futuristic look improving in the same time the car’s aerodynamics. Paying attention to details you will notice that the rear view mirror is electronically retractable helping the driver to determine the car’s position, but when it’s not necessary it can be easily hidden.

The design team who worked at the 2005 Lamborghini Concept S focused on providing the car with an amazing unique look and hence just a few aesthetically appealing changes transformed the exotic Gallardo into an incredible supercar. The few changes made applied to the front and the rear spoilers which were slightly redesigned while the twin offset grilles were placed in an angular honeycomb pattern giving the car an incredible look. In addition, the rear was loaded with black mesh vents while the tail pipes and the rear diffuse were reshaped.

If you will start looking at the Lamborghini Concept S inch by inch you will start wondering how many hours of work were necessary in order to obtain such a stylish look. Respecting the principle of continuity, under the hood the engineering components are all about high performance (a great match for a perfect exterior look). The Lamborghini Concept S is equipped with a 5.0 liters V10 engine, the same engine used on the Gallardo Coupe. This engine produces 500 horsepower and offers you an amazing driving experience. The body of the supercar weighs less than other Lamborghini cars, being actually 70kg lighter than the Gallardo because of the aerodynamically designed body.

Lamborghini Concept S

The car is equipped with a six speed manual gearbox while the engine offers an output of 4500 rpm. If you consider taking this car for a test drive you should be prepared to feel the car flying on the road at incredible speeds. In fact, you will have the opportunity to experience a car that can go from 60 mph to 200 mph in only 4 seconds while the top speed reaches 325 km/h. What can be better than this? High performance combined with the appearance of a supercar: any driver’s dream.

If you are interested in buying the Lamborghini Concept S supercar you will have to pay a little fortune to fulfill your dream. The price tag is around $230,000. In conclusion, the Lamborghini Concept S is the perfect sports car for any driver who loves to race and enjoys feeling the adrenaline flowing through his veins

Lamborghini Gt

The first Lamborghini GT manufactured by the Italian automaker was the 350 GT, created by the best team of engineers including Gian Paolo Dallara and Giotto Bizzarini. The Lamborghini 350 GT model was equipped with a V12 engine capable of producing 270 horsepower, but only 120 units became available on the market. The V12 engine of the Lamborghini 350GT was placed on top of the tubular steel chassis and featured a ZF gearbox, an independent suspension while disc brakes were used on all the tires. In 1965 at the London Motor Show an elegant coupe was displayed, a coupe inspired by Lancia and Alfa Romeo. This model was named Lamborghini 3500 GTZ, but only two units were built.

This Lamborghini GT evolved into the Lamborghini 400GT revealed at the 1966 Geneva Auto Show. This car was also designed by Carozzeria Touring, but the interior was improved and became more spacious. In 1966, the 400GT was introduced in production becoming available equipped with a 3.5-liter engine or a 4.0-liter V12 engine. The second version (4-liter V12 engine) was manufactured in only 23 units, was able to produce 320 horsepower and could achieve a maximum speed of 270 km/h. The 400GT was manufactured in only a few units and then it was replaced by the 400GT 2+2. This new configuration transformed the car into a more practical supercar offering more space for additional passengers in the rear seats. This Lamborghini GT was manufactured from steel while for the 400GT the engineers used aluminum. The feature which distinguished this car from the previous model was the double-oval headlights placed on the car’s front.

The Lamborghini 400GT also included a special edition called the 400GT Interim Monza featuring unique bodywork made by Neri and Bonacini. This car used mechanical components along with styling elements of the Ferrari’s legendary 250GTO series. But unfortunately only one of those was manufactured for an American customer who desired to race it at Le Mans. Despite the homologation problems, this Lamborghini GT was sold at the Barcelona Motor Show in 1966 to a Spanish businessman who owned it until 1990 when he passed away. The Lamborghini 400GT Interim Monza has been staying parked in a garage since 1970, having only 7,000 km on board.

Lamborghini GT

This Lamborghini GT was equipped with a powerful 3.5-liter V12 engine producing 320 bhp and used the typical Lamborghini transmission and rear end. This car has also English-language Dynotype labels on the dashboard switches. The seating position is low while the interior is covered in black leather and sprinkled with toggle switches. Even if the inside is designed with limited headroom, the legroom available is plenty. As a result, the car is comfortable for racing.

When it comes to speed and the quality of a driving experience, the Lamborghini 400GT Interim Monza is able to sprint from zero to 60 mph in under 7 seconds. The ride is as good as you would expect it to be, considering we are talking about a 1960s car which has the damping well controlled. All the technical components help the driver to feel confident to push the acceleration, having the feeling that the car will take each corner without any problem.

This amazing car remains a supercar even nowadays, having a dramatic look and huge reserves of power. In 2005, the Lamborghini 400GT Interim Monza was sold for $315,000 at the annual Bonhams auction which took place at London Olimpia.

All the Lamborghini GT models brought something new in the car industry even if it was about engineering components or about the interior or exterior design.

These troops were able to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies and the thunderous sounds made by them were able to make people panic. Some of the car enthusiasts consider that the Yeniceri Lamborghini is a cross between the BatMobile and the KnightRider, but that might pass as an insult, although its design is similar to the design of those cars. The different aspect that makes it more impressive is that the LP640 Lamborghini is sizzling hot and terrifying in the same time.

Lp640 Lamborghini

Because of the exterior design, this LP640 Lamborghini has a stealth look with matt black body foliation impressing with its darkened headlamps and taillights. As a result, the handling of the car is improved and the overall look is sportier. You will also have the opportunity to feel much safer, even if you are riding a sports car. In addition, this LP640 Lamborghini received some interesting special features including LED daytime running lights which are included in the front spoiler, LEDs mounted underneath the side skirts and a 120 db exhaust system which helps increase the output by 20 PS.

How can you not fall in love with a car that was redesigned and brought closer to perfection by the most talented teams belonging to not one, but two exclusive companies.

History Of Lamborghini

Lamborghini was founded in 1963 by Ferrucio Lamborghini, a former army member who established his own company specialized in building tractors. The tractor business developed as years passed and in 1970 a second factory was founded to produce air conditioners and heaters for buildings. The incredible success was celebrated in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy where the company established its headquarters.

But everything changed when he met Enzo Ferrari. This was the moment when his desire to build high-speed supercars with luxurious interiors revealed itself. Ferrucio complained to Enzo about a clutch problem that the Ferrari he owned had. Enzo told him that “the problem is not with the car but with the driver…” and he was asked to take care of his tractors and leave the problem for those who know what to do.

Disappointed by the answer received, Ferrucio dismounted the transmission of his car and found out that his car used the same transmission as his tractors. Because of this discovery, he asked some talented men who worked for Enzo Ferrari including Franco Scaglione, Giotto Bizzarini and Gian Paolo Dallara to give him a hand. As a result, the team created the perfect competitor for the Ferrari cars, the Automobili Lamborghini.

Ferrucio was inspired by its birth sign, Taurus, and started using it as an emblem for his cars. In fact, even nowadays the Lamborghini cars are named after bulls. The Italian company also recruited Giotto Bizzarrini, an employee who used to work for Ferrari and asked him to design and manufacture a V12 engine for Lamborghini. This engine was soon built and was able to produce 400 horsepower. But because Ferrucio wanted a GT car and not a racing car, the power was reduced to 280 horsepower.

The first car manufactured by Lamborghini was the GTV prototype while the first production car was the Lamborghini 350GT manufactured in 1964. After the Lamborghini 350GT, the history of Lamborghini continued with the manufacture and release of the Miura, a real supercar named after a well known bull race. But the success didn’t stop here. In 1968 Lamborghini manufactured the Lamborghini Espada 400GT which was a big hit, more than 1,200 cars being built at Sant’Agata.

1985 Lamborghini Coutach

In 1970, the race driver Bob Wallace worked to transform his Miura S into a race car. He redesigned the suspension, reduced the weight and placed new spoilers obtaining a fast race car which could go from zero to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds. But Ferrucio wasn’t interested in the race proposal of Wallace and decided to sell the prototype of the Lamborghini Miura Jota to an Italian enthusiast. In the 1970s, the Italian company suffered because of the economic crunch and Ferrucio sold his shares to a Swiss car lover, George-Henri Rosseti. But the company went on without its founder. After some dark days and only one car produced (the Coutach 400S in 1980), Lamborghini was sold to the French brothers Patrick and Jean-Claude Mimran who produced the off-road LMA series and the Coutach Quattrovalvole. In 1987, another page of the Lamborghini history was written when Lee Iaccoca bought the company for $33 millions.

2010 Lamborghini Gallardo

During the Iaccoca era, in 1990 the Lamborghini Diablo was released. But in 1998 Audi bought Lamborghini and things started to change for the better. Because of a large infusion of cash and technological innovations, the company built the Murcielago in 2001. Its success was followed by the 2003 Gallardo, which proved this was a company focused on fast, luxurious supercars designed for modern drivers. In 2010, the Gallardo was considered the most successful car with 10,000 units produced.

Lamborghini Alar

As all the important brand cars, Lamborghini tries every year to bring new incredible car designs that can take your breath away. For that purpose, this company uses the most talented car designers that use their inspiration and create amazing and futuristic concept cars that impress with their look and their engineering components. All these new supercars show us how much the car industry has developed in the last few years and what amazing things await us in the future.

Lamborghini Alar

One of these amazing futuristic supercars is the Lamborghini Alar, a concept car for a mid-engine sports car which will be produced by the Lamborghini Latino-America. The Lamborghini Alar will be released under a special agreement with the Italian automaker. This agreement includes the rule that the official distributor for the supercars, located in Argentina (South America), can manufacture its models using the Lamborghini’s logo and running gear. This Lamborghini is based on the Diablo version using its chassis and engine. Rumors said that Lamborghini Alar will be manufactured in March 2008, but this didn’t happen because the customers weren’t as interested as the company thought.

The Lamborghini Alar reflects the old Lamborghini style in more than one way having an extreme look. Some specialists weren’t impressed by this car and thought that it looks more as the cars from “Too Fast Too Furious” or from “NFS Underground” and because of that the Lamborghini fans didn’t find it so appealing.

Even if the Lamborghini Alar uses the same platform and engine as the Diablo, the styling is completely different. This supercar is designed by Joan Ferci and has a Klingon visage and the backside of a Starship Trooper bug. It has a weight of 1,200 kg and is a reminiscent of another creation signed by Joan Ferci, the incredible Lamborghini Coatl.

Under the hood, this Lamborghini Alar hides a 7.7 liters V12 engine capable to produce no more and no less than 770 horsepower at 7500 rpm. Moreover, the Alar can achieve a top speed of 255.2 mph (410.7 km/h) and goes from zero to 100 km/h in only 3.6 seconds. As a result, this Lamborghini competes with the Bugatti Veyron when it comes to speed, being able to win the competition. It’s impressive to be aware that such a supercar is available on the market and is able to go fast enough to make you feel you’re flying. This car is for sure a source of envy for the people around you.

If the engine is attractive for you, I must say that the other components that equip this car are amazing and incredible as well. For such a fast car you will need the high performance Dual Parallel Asymmetric suspensions and the anti shock systems that will help you minimize the impact with the road. As a result you will enjoy a smoother ride, offered by this Lamborghini Alar.

Even if some people think that the Alar is an ugly car and is not impressive as the other cars released by Lamborghini, this Lamborghini remains a supercar that is able to make you feel you’re alive. This car is the best choice for those who think that comfort, luxury and of course speed are the most important features of a desirable car. Nowadays, when everything happens faster and faster every day, this supercar will give you the impression you can keep up with everything around you. But your desire will definitely cost you a “few bucks” and to be more precise, $750,000 of them. But nothing worth having comes cheap in this world!

New Lamborghini Laptops from Asus

Collaboration between cars’ and computers’ manufacturers has lately become sort of a tradition, all with the objective to create new technology devices and innovating systems.

Into this category of coalitions can be integrated the Asus and Lamborghini team too, with their new round of computer products. Consequently, for the past few year, various Asus laptops have suffered some design touches under the influence of the Italian car producer. This time, the result is a VX7 gaming laptop model, inspired by the Murcielago LP640 car, and which features premium leather-lined palm-rest, some taillights out back after the Lamborghini style and the sports car manufacturer’s logo; it also comes in two colors, orange and carbon fiber.

Technically speaking, the laptop is based on Intel’s Huron River platform, and it boasts, among many other things, 16GB of RAM, up to 1.5TB of storage space, a Blu-ray combo drive, a 2.0 megapixel webcam and an 8-in-1 card reader. The Lamborghini VX7 comes with a pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and is currently up for pre-order at €1,995.

Lamborghini Lm002

Lamborghini produces outstanding and futuristic supercars, but the SUV niche was a little forgotten by the Italian automaker. The first military car (a SUV) manufactured by Lamborghini was called “Cheetah” and was released in 1977. This vehicle was designed with the hope of selling it to the US military. The first prototype was equipped with a rear mounted Chrysler V8 engine, but was destroyed by the US military during the testing period.

That’s why Lamborghini was forced to develop the LM001, a similar version of the Cheetah which was equipped with an AMC V8 engine. The next attempt Lamborghini made in order to manufacture a functional SUV resulted in the LM002. The Lamborghini LM002 was manufactured by Lamborghini between 1986 and 1993 and is a mixture of a four-door pickup, a luxury car, an off-road “monster” and a Countach version having a wood-leather cockpit. The first Lamborghini LM002 was available on the US market at a “spicy” price of $120,000 (same price tag as the Countach). Nowadays, a LM002 is still expensive (at the 2010 RM Auctions a model from 1989 was sold for $77,000), but remains the “king” of the tanklike status.

Lamborghini Lm002

When you get inside the Lamborghini LM002 you might think that you are in a Countach, because the only difference is the big windshield. The material that covers the SUV’s interior is aromatic leather giving you the sensation that you are in a very expensive handbag. The cabin is not so spacious for a SUV. You really feel squeezed into the driver seat and the three spoke Nardi steering wheel actually touches your knees. The instrumental panel is placed closely to the steering wheel and the engraved knob reveals a five speed pattern along with a dogleg similar to the one used for the Countach. Other luxury features that equip the Lamborghini LM002 include the tinted power windows, the air conditioning and the premium stereo package mounted in the roof console.

Lamborghini Lm002 interior

Under the hood everything is designed to impress you. The Lamborghini LM002 hides a L804 7.2 liters V12 engine perfect for those interested in more power at the time and is able to achieve 7000 rpm producing around 455 horsepower. That impresses even now pedestrians sitting near the Lamborghini LM002 and makes them flinch when the engine starts. The LM002 features a large air cleaner placed on top of the six Weber carburetors and an oversized radiator. The car is also equipped with a giant fuel tank of 76.6 gallons of gasoline. Even if the Lamborghini LM002 is heavy, it goes from zero to 60 mph in only 7.7 seconds and achieves a high speed of 118 mph. It’s really impressive for this giant car and these numbers are incredible in comparison to the nowadays truck standards.

In addition to this, the Lamborghini LM002 is equipped with a ZF S5-24/3 five speeds manual gearbox having a two-speed transfer case. The chassis is tubular and the suspension is independent having coil springs provided with telescopic shock absorbers. This LM002 uses Pirelli Scorpion tires that were specially ordered by Lamborghini for this model and have a run-flat tread design. Because of these tires, the Lamborghini LM002 could be driven in the desert heat, making this model a great candidate for becoming a purchase item for the rich Saudi sheiks.

Its enormous fuel consumption, incredible excess and strange compromises are forgotten because of its impressive performance and rarity. The Lamborghini LM002 is an amazing “monster” SUV that’s remarkable because of its power and luxury. It’s definitely a must-have masterpiece if you are a Lamborghini or sports car collector.
