USA’s top 20 best-selling vehicles of 2009 revealed

As with any beginning of the year, it isn’t time to look forward and prepare for our next year, but to look back and see just what happened in the last one. At least, that is what the team at the Examiner did in terms of what vehicles sold in the USA last year.

As such, here we have the top 20 best-selling cars, charted over the last 12 months. It may not be your own personal list, but here’s on what the USA spent its car money during 2009.

20. Chevrolet Cobalt: 104,724
19. Toyota Tacoma: 111,824
18. GMC Sierra: 111,842
17. Hyundai Sonata: 120,028
16. Toyota Prius: 139,682

Interested in the remaining 10? Well you’ve got to hit the jump then (yeah, you hate us).

The remaning top 10 is quite an interesting lot, but until number 6, things were still quite close. After which, the gaps started to get bigger and bigger.
