S. Vettel Gets Pole In Monte Carlo

Sebastian Vettel managed to grab his fifth pole position this year by achieving the fastest time for today’s Monte Carlo GP, finish a lap in 1m 13.556 seconds. He will be followed on the grid today by Jenson Button and Mark Webber. Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso secured the 4th place on the starting line after a rather disappointing qualifying session, although on Friday’s practice sessions he was the fastest.

Yesterday’s qualifying session turned out to be the worst in Sergio Perez’s life after he crashed his car, racing out of the tunnel and then skidding across the track. He lost control of his Sauber when he was about to come out of the tunnel and he slammed into the tunnel barrier. Perez was the third driver this weekend that crashed his car, after Nico Rosberg and Vitantonio Liuzzi.
