2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe brings performance without two extra doors | Rpmgo.com

Up until recently, in case you wanted a performance sedan, European carmakers were the go-to solution, but with the CTS-V, Cadillac established itself quite firmly on the market, offering a quality and sporty solution.

Now, as the Detroit Auto Show is just days from opening its doors, the US carmaker showed off the CTS-V Coupe version, which is based on the recently launched body style for the CTS. Bringing almost the exact performance from the sedan, extracted from the 6.2-liter supercharged V8, but without the two extra doors, the CTS-V coupe will definitely turn some heads and empty out some pockets.

“The CTS-V Coupe marries our most potent and sophisticated technology with our most dramatic production design,” said Bryan Nesbitt, Cadillac general manager. “This combination of visual and technical attributes is designed to create a very compelling choice for luxury sports car consumers.”

Just as a reminder, the 556 HP sportscar will enter production this summer, so you’d better start pre-ordering right now. Stay tuned next week for the official debut of the model in Detroit, alongside another concept, the Cadillac XTS.
