2012 SsangYong Korando revealed

The South Korean automaker SsangYong has introduced the 2012 Korando that brings a new engine as well as a bunch of minor styling tweaks. Customers will be able to get the car with a new entry-level 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine that is capable of generating 147 hp (149 PS). The CO2 emissions stand at 147 g/km for the two-wheel drive and manual gearbox model, while the all-wheel drive, automatic transmission-fitted version has CO2 emissions of 157 g/km.

SsangYong has also updated the 2.0-liter gasoline engine which now has CO2 emissions of 175 g/km (manual, 2WD) and 192 g/km (manual, AWD). No word about the performances of this engine, but we can tell you that both of them are going to be available starting with this summer in Europe. Other changes include an enhanced transmission control system and an updated gearing for all of the diesel-powered models.
