2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty Platinum goes official
The Blue Oval has revealed earlier this week the top-spec Platinum version of the F-Series Super Duty truck. Even though up until now we don’t have an official price tag for this vehicle, it’s safe to say that it will set you back more than $64,040 as this is the price for the F-450 Super Duty King Ranch which will sit below the Platinum once this high-end version will hit the market.
This new Platinum model is going to be available exclusively in the Super Duty crew cab version as an F-250, F-350 or an F-450 pickup. Under the hood customers can choose from either a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine with 400 hp or a V8 6.2-liter engine with 385 hp.
Design-wise, the 2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty Platinum will be wearing a bespoke grille with a satin chrome surround as well as perforated mesh inside, chrome tow hooks, a monochromatic bumper, as well as exclusive 20-inch alloys with painted black inserts. You will notice more chrome on the mirror caps, door handles, exhaust tip, running boards and on the Platinum badges.
Inside the cabin of the truck we find a lot of leather and a wood trim, along with a new storage space installed on the top of the dashboard that comes with audio/video connections, two USB ports, a 12-volt charging port and an SD card slot. Other goodies include the MyFord Touch telematics system that packs a navigation system as well as a new 8-inch high-res touchscreen display. You will also find power-adjustable pedals, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a rear view camera.
The 2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty Platinum is scheduled to go on sale later on this year at a yet undisclosed price tag.
