2013 Mazda CX-5 starts from $20,695
The Japanese automaker Mazda has published the pricing details for the 2013 CX-5 crossover that will be available in the U.S. of A. with only a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that pumps out 155 hp and a peak torque of 150 lb.-ft. It will be sold in both FWD and AWD versions.
Clients will be able to get the car in one of the three different trims available: Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. The entry-level FWD Sport version is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission while the rest of the models get an automatic gearbox. Mazda said that the all-new crossover is able to return 35 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg in the combined cycle.
The starting price of the 2013 Mazda CX-5 is $20,865 for the entry-level Start model but you’ll end up paying at least $21,660 since there’s a $795 handling and destination fee. Regardless of the trim level chosen, the CX-5 comes with a bunch of safety options like 6 airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Hill Launch Assist, Traction Control System (TCS) and TMPS – tire pressure monitoring system.
The Sport variant is equipped with power mirrors, daytime running lights, automatic headlight shutoff, power windows and locks, air conditioning, steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, along with 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in 225/65R17 tires.
The more expensive Touring version of the 2013 Mazda CX-5 adds fog lamps, 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Bluetooth audio package, upgraded cloth seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, rearview camera, rear-seat armrest with cup holders and Blind Spot Monitoring system.
The high-end Grand Tourer model rides on 19-inch alloys with 225/55R19 tires and comes with a bunch of additional goodies like heated mirrors, automatic headlights and wipers, heated front seats, leather upholstery, moonroof, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, Bose surround system with Sirius Satellite radio and dual-zone automatic climate control.
