Though only rumors so far, it seems that one of the most largest classic car transactions took place recently. The car we’re talking about is a Ferrari 250 GTO and apparently someone paid a whopping $28.5 million for it. These rumors showed up on the FerrariChat forums and no one confirmed it so far.
I have been told by a solid source that the GTO sold for $28.5 million, including a commission of $500,000. The seller was in Scotland, buyer is in England. The deal was brokered by a prominent California Ferrari store.
If it’s true, it’s incredible what ridiculous amounts of money are being paid for these classic cars. I mean, yeah, they’re beautiful, but c’mon, $28.5 million?
