2010 Classic Car Shows

There are many places where you can admire the elegance and the beauty of classic cars. If you feel the need to forget about all the problems that you have to face on a daily basis, a good way to do that is by being part of a classic car show. Believe me when I say that it’s the best way to relax and see the most amazing classic cars ever.

One of the so called “homes” of classic car shows is the East Texas and especially cities like Fort Worth or Houston. The list of the 2010 classic car shows that were organized in this region is quite large, but I feel the need to remind you of a few exquisite ones.

Bayshore Fine Rides Show is a classic car show, hosted by the largest non-profit car clubs from East Texas and it is the oldest car show organized in the area. In 2010, it reached its 23^rd edition and took place in April. An interesting feature of this show is that it offers important prizes to the top three car show winners.

Another 2010 classic car show that astounded the crowds in October is the Temple Cruisin Classic Car Show.  This event was the host of all the classic car owners that could qualify for one of the 35 different car categories taken into consideration. The competition was as fierce as always. The atmosphere was kept in a friendly, relaxing tone by good food and quality music. In 2010, the price for a car registration was $15, but in the day of the event the price went up to $20.

In Houston, in late October, the Annual Halloween Classic Car Show takes place, being one of the most important 2010 classic car shows. This particular event has about 30 different sections in which you can register your classic car. The competition is on every year and for a touch of originality the organizers thought that it would be exciting to offer car owners a prize for the best decorated car. The prize is named “Scariest Mode of Transportation”, and it’s a trademark of the show. Remember its name: Annual Halloween Classic Car Show.

In late August in Quitman takes place another car show named Classics in the Park Car Show. This is an event held in open air on 26 acres of land. The show has 30 categories that put the judges to the test. Moreover, people can enjoy the cars presented there or they can visit the town museums that are open that day and usually organize special displays.

If you have some free time in August, you must go to the Annual Yellow Rose Classic Car Show that celebrates Ford cars. The show reached in 2010 its 21^st year and remains one of the most important East Texas classic car shows. This particular edition of the indoor car show was all about the 200 classic cars that were registered. Muscle cars, antique classic cars or late-models, they were all on display at the Will Rogers Memorial Center.

If you’re a classic car admirer or a classic car collector in search of a challenging competition don’t forget about Texas. 2011 promises to be at least as good as 2010 when it comes to the shows organized in East Texas.
