Chevrolet Crossover
The Chevrolet Company is very good at surprising us with new and improved designs that challenge car manufacturers all around the world. From their classic cars that sell for impressive prices to their newest model releases, the Chevrolet Company proves us that a serious car manufacturer can pass the test of time.
And if we would need another reassurance, the new Chevrolet Crossover that will be released sometime in 2011 on the USA market will definitely be another top car built by this company. The name of this crossover is Tacuma (try to not confuse it with the Tacoma truck manufactured by Toyota) and it can already be seen on the European roads. The 2011 Chevrolet Tacuma will compete against the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4. The winner of the competition will become the number one on the USA car market.
Chevrolet Crossover
This 2011 Chevrolet crossover will seat up to seven passengers and it will cost between $20,000 and $30,000 depending on the design and the optional package. On the exterior, even if the European version of the Tacuma seams more like a minivan, it’s very sure that the crossover that will be released on the American market will have a more SUV look. It might also have four conventional doors and an optional panoramic roof.
The interior of the 2011 Chevrolet Tacuma will host three rows of seats with the possibility to fold the second and the third row of seats. More details about the interior of this Chevrolet crossover have not officially been announced by the company, but rumors say that the interior features will include air conditioning, a cruise control, a CD player equipped with iPod and MP3 compatibility, OnStar and of course a DVD entertainment system. Probably the 2011 Tacuma will be available with higher-level trims and will offer more optional features, but we will just have to wait and see.
Moreover, the new Chevrolet crossover, American version will be equipped with a 1.8 liters engine. Some other possibilities will be available as well: a 2.4 liters and a 2.0 liters engine version that is expected to produce 150 horsepower. A hybrid version is also supposed to be released and complete the variety of Chevrolet Tacuma’s available. It’s very likely that the Tacuma will be equipped with independent front and rear suspensions. As a result, the Chevrolet Tacuma is expected to have the handling level of a truck. There will also be a list of available transmission: a four, five or six speeds transmission.
The safety measures will not be forgotten by the engineers either. The new Chevrolet crossover will have side curtain airbags, antilock brakes, front side airbags and a traction control that will make you and your passengers feel safe in any driving conditions. That’s great news, especially if you consider buying the car for family use.
The warranty package will be impressive as well. It will include a three year or 36,000 miles basic warranty, a five year or 100,000 miles road assistance, a five year or 100,000 miles power train warranty and a six years or 100,000 miles corrosion warranty. That’s a bonus that I’m sure it will convince you invest in a steady car designed to survive years of usage and serve a careful driver and his family.
All in all I’m sure that the Chevrolet Tacuma will become a hit on the American market as well. Chevrolet cars have that “bad habit” of winning us over and I’m sure that the hybrid version will convince even the environmentally friendly ones among us to take it for a ride.
