The Nationwide comprehensive car insurance offers unlimited third party injury liability up to 20,000,000 pounds for damage to third party property. Needless to say, it provides coverage for accidental damage to your car and also offers cover for up to 180 days when you are travelling to EU countries. You also benefit from a temporary replacement car if your vehicle is damaged, written off or stolen with the condition that your claim is handled by one of the selected repairers.
This type of Nationwide car insurance will cover the loss or damage to your car cause from fire and/or theft, and you’ll also get up to 10,000 pounds personal accident benefits for you and your partner, along with up to 200 pounds for personal belongings in the vehicle. In addition, this comprehensive insurance offers unlimited coverage for in-car entertainment, phone and sat-nav systems that come as standard with the car. The cover is up to 500 pounds for non-standard equipment. You also get up to 500 pounds physical assault benefits and a new car replacement if your car is less than a year old.
The comprehensive policy also covers the breakage of the windscreen and window glass without having to lose the no claim discount if you are willing to pay 75 pounds per claim unless the window glass or windscreen is repaired and not replaced.
On top of this comprehensive Nationwide car insurance policy you also have the possibility to benefit from the guaranteed no claims discount, motor legal expenses cover up to 10,000 pounds, personal accident benefits increased to a 100,000 pounds limit, along with road rescue cover.
Before you apply online, you should be able to prepare the following information: make, model, MFRD of car; registration number; details regarding the vehicle’s owner and registered keeper; driving license and info about driving history; car insurance history (including here any no claim discounts); details of any losses, claims or incidents in the last five years; additional drivers; credit/debit card for payments.
You will get the vehicle insurance policy documents within 5-7 business days. If you haven’t got the papers after 10 business days, you should give them a call at 0845 640 5920 and they will send duplicate copies.
You can cancel the Nationwide car insurance up to 14 days after you receive the documents. You will get a full refund minus a charge for the cover you have had and a cancellation charge for establishing the car policy. After the first 14 days, if you haven’t made a claim, they will refund you with any money that you’ve paid, except for a cancellation charge. Remember that you will not be able to get a refund if you have made a claim. If the amount of money due to the company when you cancel the policy is higher in comparison to what you have paid, you’ll be asked to pay for the difference. This includes paying the rest of the premium due for the policy if you have chosen monthly payments and you’ve made a claim.
