Canada Classic Car Auctions

All around the world classic car collectors and admirers can appreciate the classic cars that are part of many shows every year. If you consider buying as well, you should know that auctions are the second largest places where you can buy these amazing cars. Even if we talk mostly about Europe, Asia or America when it comes to this kind of you auctions these aren’t the only locations were classic car auctions are organized. Canada classic car auctions are also impressive and important events take place all over the state, providing people with some of the best occasions to see or buy classic cars.

One of the annual auctions in Canada is the spring and fall Collector Car Productions from Toronto’s International Centre. This auction was organized for the first time 21 years ago and it’s one of the largest and the oldest auctions in Canada.

In the spring of 2010, more than 400 cars were in search of a new owner at the Canada Classic Car Auction. The merchandise was for both rich and “poor” people. Once they fell in love with a car they just weren’t able to go home empty handed. If for an AMC Pacer a couple of thousand bucks were enough, for a ’97 Porsche 993 Turbo S you had to spend some extra cash (about $150,000), if you wanted to become its owner.

At this 2010 Toronto classic car auction, the highest bids were made for the “Canadian” 1983 DeLorean DMC-12. The car was used in the movie “Back to the Future” and has a stainless-steel body. This model is one of the 100 cars ever made, it has the original 140 km/h speedometer and it is in a great shape. The bidding was for the experienced and in the end the price paid for this amazing car went up to $23,000. Other cars that were auctioned at the Canadian classic car auction were a 1926 Ford Hot Rod, a ’67 El Camino, a Camaro Z28, Bentleys and a few models of Aston Martins.

The 2010 fall edition of the Collector Car Productions auction put on sale three private car collections. The first collection on sale was a collection owned by Frank Vasco from Ontario and it included pre-war and post-war cars such as: a restored 1947 Buick Super Convertible sold for $60,500, a rare 1936 Ford V8 Cabriolet, an incredible 1959 Jaguar XK150S Roadster – sold for $70,400 and a 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible.

Another private classic car collection that was auctioned included a 1912 Ford Model T and some other European and American classic cars. The third collection that was part of the 2010 Canada classic car auction included some classic pickup trucks, several muscle cars built in Detroit and a number of Volkswagen Beetles.

The Toronto fall event put also on sale several Jaguars in order to celebrate the 75 years that have passed since its foundation. The classic “cats” that participated at the auction were a 1952 XK 120 Super Sport Roadster and six V12 E-type Coupes. At the event were also present some British classic car collectors as well. They offered for sale a 1963 Austin Healy 3000 BJ 7 Roadster, a right hard drive 1969 Triumph GT6 and a 1974 Jensen Healy Roadster.
